    @dargard-0 Pro-Active? That's laughable. You literally pitched a hissy fit and started launching personal attacks against me, which earned you a temporary forum ban. Then, you went on to create this post over something that isn't even finalized. You call this being pro-active? That's cute... By your same logic, you could have simply stated your objections in a civilized and respectful manner, but instead, you chose to lash out, attack me, and try to stir up drama. Sorry, but I gotta call a spade a spade here.

    @frostycab That's what I have been doing in the past, and if you're starting out it could be a good way to build up gigabytes but 10 gigs aren't that much. Assuming you don't have issues with port forwarding (and you know this if you download say a torrent from the pirate bay or other open tracker and look for a I in the peer's flags), just that this tracker incentivizes seeding, and so it's not unusual to download gigabytes but upload kilobytes. It's why I said you would be better off looking at freeleech torrents, and sort them by leechers. Right now the 240G Sketchy Sex collection is freeleech and it seems to have lots of leechers. It's got some good models in it if you love creampies. But downloading a bunch of active freeleech torrents and seeding them is the best way to get started. Doesn't matter if you have to end up downloading stuff you don't particularly care about (like solos and stuff) but the whole point is to get your ratios up and grabbing freelech with lots of leechers is the best way to go about this.

    I discovery it for a few days , and i did first a withdraw test to see if this works.     As far as I can see the 'browse' uses icons in the same way that 'search' uses tick boxes and they both work in the same way. Tick a category or categories in 'search' and it will only search in those categories for your keyword(s) By clicking on one or more icons in 'browse' you do a similar search. Or have I misunderstood you?

    There are two other important files there resume.dat (with the stats and torrents) and settings.dat (with the settings). If you copy those from the old uTorrent AppData to the new together with all the .torrent file, µTorrent should start as before.

    24 hours for a correctly seed torrent of middle size (1 - 2 GB) is sufficient. That is the minimum, but longer is possible to select.

    have you cleared the cache?  Ctrl F5 also iirc, it could be a page view compatibility thing (tools).  there might also be a 'broken page' type icon in your browser bar window on the top left where you can change this. but basically, IE is shit, so rather than update it consider changing to chrome, firefox or something else.

    @taboi: It's clear you have no clue what you're talking about.  You're a hypocrite. End of story. If you are going to threaten people with bans for violating copyright, then you should not be allowed to upload or download.  Just like the police, you are expected to follow the rules that you are enforcing.  Someone who is in clear violation of the rules has no business enforcing them.  There's a saying about glass houses that fits here too. And I know how copyright works, I am a photographer.  There are very few limits to what can be copyrighted, NONE of which extend to porn (for example lists of raw data - such as names and telephone numbers - can not be copyrighted, however telephone books in published form can).  The only people who claim porn can't be copyrighted are those who claim it is illegal on grounds of obscenity as they thump their bibles in your face.  Governments disagree.  ALL studio works are copyrighted, and NO member here has permission to upload them. Same goes for anything snatched off Xtube or Tumblr or the like if it was not created by that user, and same goes for screen grabs off Cam4 and Chaturbate. Period.  If users actually followed the rules, this site would dry up instantly. You are assuming that no one had the rights to distribute anything to the site. When in fact you need to assume otherwise unless it is proven to be false. People are innocent until proven guilty that is how most laws work in most countries. If someone uploads something the site must maintain that they are the legal copyright holder or has the right to distribute the file. They cannot nor are they expected to research if that is true. It is up to the copyright holder to enforce their rights or loose them. Once it is proven/suggested that the uploader doesn't have these rights the site takes action and removes the ability to distribute the works.

    thanks for everyone's help.  I use utorrent (mac os).  The website now shows me as having uploaded 16GB though when I add up what utorrent is showing it should be >18GB by this point- not sure why there's a 2GB discrepancy but at least it's not stuck on 14 anymore

    It is updated immediately when you load the Home page or your Profile. Since I had refreshed my Profile (means reloaded) to see if it updates immediately, it was updated. Therefore my first answer. Perhaps it updates as well when other members call the Home page, not tested…

    @Fappydave: in the last twenty four hours went from 5.91 to 5.82 Your ratio is 0.582 not 5.82 ― which likely means it went from 0.592 to 0.582 in twenty-four hours, or about 250MB an hour.

    Exchangeable digital file container format file name extensions are indeed considered the same and duplicate if same size. Some examples:   mpeg <=> mpg <=> dat (VCD)   avi <=> divx   mp4 <=> m4v <=> mov However, a torrent to be duplicate, there must be available another original. That wouldn't be the case here, because the subject is to prevent easy jump-on by members who got the file from other places.

    First thing to check, is if the file(s) in question check 100% against your torrent in your torrent client. If yes and it plays with sound at your computer, it is most likely not an issue with the torrent and the shared file, but an issue of codec support on the computer and/or player at the downloader side. As well, if yes, re-uploading another torrent for the file won't change anything. Best thing is indeed to contact the Helpdesk with details, e.g. which torrent and who complains. The Helpdesk would only delete the torrent, if it is verified that the issue is with the torrent's shared file.

    Your torrent client will have to announce to the tracker that it has completed the download. If you direct immediately, when adding the torrent to your client, the download to the file you already have, then the client won't start (trying) to download, so won't send a having completed event to the tracker. It will start seeding immediately.
