@billythick Could you post the URL for the torrent you downloaded?

@billythick Thanks. Wanted to see if it downloaded for me, which it has, without any problems. "Unregistered torrent" is a message I get in qBittorrent when a torrent has been removed from the site. maybe because it was a duplicate or it got a DMCA strike. Obviously that's not th case here, as I accessed i easily.

Is this your first download? Your first in a while? Have you tried another to see if it's the same? What client are you using? Different clients may report errors using slightly different wording.

The more info the better really.

@billythick A little research on Google suggests this might be a uTorrent phrase. I've not delved too deep, but apart from the possible explanations I gave above - which in this case can be discounted - it may be a sign-on issue.

Try logging out and logging in again.
            Try downloading that torrent again.
Try downloading a different torrent - pick anything from the Freeleech list so it doesn't touch your ratio. Something relativelt small with lots of seeders should download quickly, if it's working.

@Kevin4fm my very first DL. I haven't tried another. I'll delete it and try another after logging out and back in again.

@billythick Great. Let me know how it goes, good or bad.

... Actually, sorry. Well past my bedtime. I'm sure someone else will come along soon to explain how I was totally wrong.

That error means your passkey is invalid, most likely because you accidentally edited the tracker URL, so deleting it from your client and re-downloading the torrent file should fix it.

Once again I'd like to remind everyone that it's not mandatory that you speak.

@ianfontinell Duh! "....pass". Fairly obvious, once you think about it for even s little bit, once you have a little detailed knowledge. See? Told you it was past my bedtime!

Glad it works now, billythick. For anyone who finds this later: "unregistered torrent pass" means the tracker does not recognise the passkey inside that .torrent file. That usually happens with an old .torrent from before a passkey reset, or when the tracker URL got edited. Remove the torrent from your client (keep the data), download the .torrent again from the site and add it, that fixes it.

Thanks Kevin4fm and ianfontinell for helping out.
