@MrMazda: I wouldn't be too overly worried if I were you as long as you maintain your current average. Your share ratio is currently 1.330, and at the VERY most, your required is 0.800 when you hit the highest bracket. As a general rule, as long as you keep your ratio above 1 (such as the 1.040 required for power user status, you should never really need to worry about having too low a ratio, especially if you maintain the ratio as you download more. thanks a lot it really makes sense now!

@amicusets: @cannonmc: Perhaps worth a mention that the roughly 10TB you have uploaded in excess of a ratio of 1.0 are 10TB that other people can't upload. And yes, I am setting a bad example But that would be based on an assumption that the torrents were of a particularly "popular" nature, but on many of my torrents that I seed, there are very few seeders– on of the reasons that I keep seeding them, and at this point in time, the vast majority are older themed movies. (I also use my seedpoints to make movies that I think people would otherwise not try freeleech so as to diversify peoples collections  ) very true indeed

That's true, but there are also Torrents counted, who currently just do not download: All torrents with multiple files, if you have not selected and downloaded all the files. Although the only seeding yet, they are count as leeching. And of course torrents with very slow download rates or even no transmissions also include.

Same problema here, download rights taken and tracker offline , no way to improve my ratio  :cry2:

@Popper: @__beastrouen__ : Do you know what was the solution? I used 4g network to seed before,but now I use 4g with VPN and it works  ;D

To Pawpcorn : In your opinion, my problem is that for whatever reason, I disconnect then reconnect every 3 minutes with a new IP, so my download/upload information cannot be cumulatively sent to .ru tracker, which updates every 30 minutes. Right? I don't know what's happening with that 3 minutes-disconnecting thing. But taking your comment as a hint, I thought some DHCP lease time limit may be the problem. I checked it and it was 3600 sec(1 hour) so I changed it to 10 days, but the problem didn't go away. Also, When I used checkmytorrentip.net and checked if my torrent client IP is changed, it remained same. –-- To cannonmc : Yeah I thought the same too. I thought my IP address won't matter as long as the passkey remains the same. But according to Pawpcorn, that might be not the case. –-- To eastonkellen : If AOL means the some american ISP, I'm not in america. But I think I have to check if my ISP uses proxy servers. And my DL still remains 0.00kB even though I did download some non-freeleech torrents. Well, I guess at least there's a hope..? No in c) I speak about the passkey in the tracker announce URL, not the username / password combo to log into his account. He can find his tracker announce URL in his Profile, it looks like: http://tracker.gaytor.rent:2710/here_the_passkey/announce or http://tracker.gaytorrent.tw:2710/here_the_passkey/announce or https://tracker.gaytor.rent/here_the_passkey/announce where "here_the_passkey" is a long series of numbers and letters. If you edit in your torrent client the tracker announce URL (properties) to have his passkey instead of yours, your upload and dwonload will count towards his account.

Moderators can't reduce the download amount. That would not help much either, because each not freeleech download will increase it again. You underestimate your ability to upload data. Hang on!

The two limits you mention are for two different things. a) The 80 is the number of .torrent files you can get per day b) The 15 is the number of torrents being downloading* at the same moment in your torrent client(s) = torrents of which you got not 100% of ALL files Please verify your current downloading list, if it isn't filled with multiple file torrents of which you choose not to download all files.

@Popper: It depends what you want: fast download > many seeds own upload > many downloading peers Attention to multiple file torrents. Peers appearing as downloading, might just have selected not all files to download and got them. They seed what they've got, without downloading further. They just can't be counted as seeds, because they haven't all files to share. :thankyou:

@sintor: I see two problems with your configuration… Problem #1 is that you randomize the port on each uTorrent start up. This is problematic because you need to have the port in TCP and UDP open between your router and your computer. I would strongly suggest picking a port and sticking to it, then making sure that said port in both TCP and UDP is properly forwarded to your computer. This should go a long way.

@furrydad: it shows that it has been snatched 31 times ….  Certainly I should at least get the credit for the first upload An avi the exact same size as yours has been available online for over a year, so it's possible that some of the 31 had that file already, and clicked Download in order to seed it. The number you see in the Snatched column increases whenever someone downloads the torrent file only. It is not necessary to download the entire content itself for that number to change.

I also see this error code routinely.  When I first started with this site a few years ago, I noticed that torrent lines would turn red instead of the normal green.  (Using utorrent 3.3.2 build 30303) I selected the "tracker status" column to display and those red lines have a HTTP Error 502 status. If push comes to shove and I need or just want to I right click the error line and select Update Tracker to force a retry.  IF it does not change back to green in a few second if not immediately, then my first presumption is that the tracker is busy busy and leave the poor thing alone.  ;D However, when I am starting a download and I get the 502 while it is searching for peers, I will try again rather than wait for the default (appears to be 30 mins) countdown for a retry. From a client perspective, I believe that reducing the number of active seeding torrents does help.  AND remember that for an individual torrent, the client will retry the connection after the timeout countdown had completed.  From a tracker perspective, taint much we end users can do. Aside from hardware / software issues, the load is the load, it ebbs and flows with time. While I do not know the tracker software personally, empirically, it looks like if many requests that come from an individual client, past a certain number those request get pushed to the bottom of the request queue so all clients can get a fair shake at the tracker. (IMHO)

Oh never mind, I see it probably means that my session dropped out at some point over night.  You probably should fix rationator to keep stuff around for a day or two in case of such a thing.  Although if oyu're just using it out of the box, and that's beyond your control short of delving into source, that's understandable.

This refers to the section in the FAQ about Freeleech torrents "Users with ratios in gracetime or removed download privileges can still download freeleech torrents, one at a time. By seeding them, you can improve your ratio." So you can download one freeleech torrent at a time until you get your download back. Pick nice healthy ones with leechers and plenty of freeleech time left
