@allyigator-0 It's a database error, that only the site owner can fix. It usually only happens when you change emails linked to your account.

@MaleMan said: So sorry for bumping this, but the site seemingly has introduced another setting that seems to break the current settings and resorts to always sorting by relevance regardless of settings : [image: 1783779627896-b1e0f69b-1888-41cd-9e7e-404013713b76-image.jpeg] The default was Smart (Relevance when searching, Newest otherwise). I've changed mine to Newest first, but search does not keep this setting. Going to homepage and doing a search : [image: 1783780300175-e275d2dd-4d43-4bea-98be-fcfd749ec243-image-resized.jpeg] still results in results being sorted by relevance, and this despite changing the sort order of the results to Newest first and having activated the "Don't auto-switch to Relevance when I search". [image: 1783779751845-ecafa707-d9b8-44b8-b51d-ba48996a4776-image-resized.jpeg] It's very frustrating. Why does this site keep wanting to sort by relevance? Can the owners correct this? That is a known bug, ever since the search bar was introduced in the home page, it always resorts to relevance sort regardless of your preferences. But in the proper search page your settings should work as expected.

@Lancej Why not simply take a look at the lists at the bottom of your Profile, under "User Details"? All the torrents that you are currently seeding are shown under "Show seeding torrents", and those you're still leeching under "Show leeching torrents".. [image: 1783772268501-523b4945-9c35-457d-8161-057360e57cec-image.jpeg] The totals of each should be the same as the numbers shown in the middle of the bar at the top of the site: [image: 1783772430613-b91ae8c6-07a8-4f03-b4d3-29f4588ebcd5-image.jpeg] Beneath these, is "Show completed torrents". When you stop seeding a torrent that has fully completed - e.g. you pause it, or delete the torrent from your client - that torrent will move from "Seeding" to "Completed". If the torrent you're interested in is in either "Seeding" or "Completed", you should get notified of any reseed request. If it's still in "leeching", or not shown at all, you won't be.

Welcome aboard. Short version: ratio is how much you share back versus what you download. New accounts get a bit of starting buffer, and the trick is to keep seeding what you grab and look out for freeleech torrents (those don't count against your download). The folks above gave you good tips too. Shout if you get stuck.

@raphjd said: Most staff use uTorrent v2.2.1. It's ancient, but it still works well. It's the last uTorrent before it was loaded with bloatware and other crap. I won't touch any uTorrent after that. Yes... To make sure I never loose the installer again, I have placed it on my private server here: https://www.tech911solutions.com/docs/uTorrent-2.2.1.exe Every time I need to install or reinstall it, I use this copy of the installer.

Staff note: thanks for all the testing in this thread, it was genuinely useful. The concrete points raised here (seeder columns, uploader name display, list contents, .torrent creation date, download issues after the switch) have been picked up into our internal tracking, and several are already fixed. Closing the triage entries for this thread; anything still broken for you today, just open a fresh thread or a helpdesk ticket.

I see no way for a user from our website to gain access to your computer.  Passing PMs back and forth will not divulge any information necessary to hack into your computer or IP. What is more likely to be a source of access to your computer is visiting unknown sites or opening/clicking on e-mail or websites that allows implantation of a virus, trojan, worm or other executable program.  This may have occurred PRIOR to your interaction with another GT.ru user.  They can sit in your computer and become activated later, depending on what type of intrusion tool was utilized. Do you use anti-viral/anti-intrusion program to protect you from these more common sources of intrusion.  If not, install one and run it through your system, it may identify the source of intrusion that you refer to as having been hacked.

Hi, You don't need to do anything at your end, as far as your membership goes, when you switch computers, so don't worry about that… It'll be interesting to see if you can figure out how to transfer all of your uTorrent files over to your new computer, in order to continue seeding those... I think a daunting task. If you can copy the video files over, then use the procedure below for reseeding (looking at your profile for the "Show Completed Torrents" list) then you could, one at time, start seeding them again... "If you ever wish to earn upload credit for reseeding videos (where you already have the video on your hard drive), the illustrated procedure is here: https://community.gaytor.rent/index.php?topic=6539.0  " Good luck, Pawpcorn GTRU Staff

Actually WackyRabbit, that is for whether or not your torrent client is connectable. I think what this user is asking is the arrows on the individual torrents going red. In this case, a red arrow means that there is some sort of tracker error, which is usually Unregistered Torrent. To find out for sure, when the torrent arrow goes red, click the torrent in uTorrent, then go to the "Trackers" tab at the bottom. It should tell you there why it is red. If the error is "Unregistered Torrent", then it means that the torrent has been deleted either due to a DMCA takedown or because it is a duplicate. The other possibility (though not likely) is that the torrent you are trying never existed on the tracker to begin with, although as I said, this is very unlikely.

As µTorrent user, if you use the simple "Delete" option (and not the "Delete and …"), the .torrent files are all still there in µTorrent's torrent store. The default location is "%AppData%/uTorrent" (without the quotes). Type that in the left upper box of the Windows File Explorer. N.B.: %AppData% is a system variable holding the path to the directory in which applications store their user's data

The limit of 10 rule for post-upload picture uploads seems to have been lifted. I've approved as many as 20 new added pictures at a time.

@MrMazda: This is just a hunch based on what I know about the legal processes for your area. You appear to be using your internet connection directly without the use of a VPN. It may be possible that a copyright troll has alleged your IP address to be suspected of copyright infringement, without actually providing specific details on what material that they feel to be infringed. This is most common when your ISP sees P2P traffic. I may be inclined to recommend the use of a VPN to skirt around this problem. I personally use Pure VPN for this very purpose. While most VPN services are a paid service, I can say with confidence that the added privacy is definitely worth paying for the service. This will help to avoid any such issue between you and your ISP. From what I can see from the torrents that you have downloaded, I see no reason as to why your connections may be slow, which is why I am inclined to think that the DMCA may be the "problem" in your case, under one of the more obscure clauses that permits your provider to throttle your internet connection solely on the allegation of a suspicion of copyright infringement. I do have NordVPN, but I only use it as a last resort.  My speeds have picked up again.  I can usually tell where the problem is.. because I use 4 different torrent sites a lot.  When only one of them is slow, I know that it is that site that has an issue. On a side note.. I would be a lot more concerned about copyrights on mainstream movies, porn, software, and music if most mainstream movies, porn, software, and music were not garbage.

@WackyRabbit: Is anyone else having a problem connecting to the Chat Room?  Is it working? I used to use the chat room, but someone wanted me gone and attacked every comment I made.  I have not used IRC in a long time, but that method of entering the chat room allowed one to log in "outside" of the website login. It seems the IRC method may have been disabled. The forums are a better place for asking and getting information. The chat room turns into a flaming room - which is just a waste of everyone's time. There is only 1 person who is a problem, and he "lives" in the chat room, so  I suggest ignoring the chat room and use the forums instead. As anybody familiar with IRC knows - live chat rooms typically have one "master" who has the mentality of a 6 year old,  who fantasizes about being the god of the chatroom.  A classic example of that is the tech support moron on the utorrent.com website.  Just for fun, go to the utorrent.com website and check out their forums, and do a search on "DreadWingKnight".  You will find that he consistently dodges questions, insults the people asking the questions, posts and attack and then locks the thread so that nobody can respond.  The most outrageous example of this is the "bencoding error" which is extremely rare.  It occurs in less than 1% of torrents.  I found what causes that error, I know how to manually fix it with a special bencode editor.  Utorrent is the ONLY torrent client that has the problem with these troublesome bencoding errors.  When I get a bencoding error on a torrent, I am forced to use another client such as VUZE or Transmission - QT for Windows.  For some reason, Harold aka Dreadwingknight, does not want anybody talking about that error.  Instead of saying "Thank you", Harold prefers to reply with a "Fuck You!" and locks the thread.

If you select NOT to download all files of a torrent's file list, you never get 100% of all files and can't be a seeder. So the tracker will count you into the downloading peers. Of course the data which you upload will count towards your upload.

I don't understand much of what is going on, but…it still takes a considerable unknown time until all has been done, from what I understood. The banner above the torrent list has been updated: Expect slowdowns/timeouts Still some upgrades and server moves ongoing but the site remains online while this happens. You can expect fast response times in the near future at any time - promised!

Go to Men.com and check out the video that you think you would want and then use either the name of the video or the names of the guys in the video.  Using MEN.com in the search alone will bring up many different torrents.  Many of the MEN.com are under listed either Jocks or Hunks. FYI

My current testing of downloading a freeleech torrent shows its download not being counted. Further the 4 torrents you've completed today were (are) all freeleech, but amount only for 3.72 GB. If  these are subtracted that from your download amount, you ratio would become only 2.70 … 395.99 GB / (150.37 GB - 3.72 GB) = 2.70 So even assuming it would have been fully counted as download, that doesn't lead to a prior ratio of 3.0 you think to have had. But there can be some not completed download you've stopped to download and I can't see therefore, which would need to have a size over 14 GB.

They are all mixed in with the rest of the torrents. Anybody can use them now. Perhaps we can persuade posters to add it to the title of the torrent. Meanwhile keep an eye on the size and number files in the torrents, anything above 3GB with lots of files is a good, but not infallible, starting point. Check the file list to see if VOB files are listed.
