@ianfontinell-0 It was one of the main reasons I started using StashDB to organise my whole library. It takes some effort to scrape all the data and/or enter the missing info yourself, but it has made it so much easier for me to check if I already have something when a new upload looks familiar. I can search by performer, studio, date range, my own tags, and even if I get a couple of hundred results it only takes a brief look at the thumbnails to jog my memory.
There's a valid argument that any upload can be said to add value to the site's offerings, but at the same time a bad upload takes away almost as much as it gives, and can easily lead to people getting sent to ratio-jail for downloading huge volumes of misleading or hidden files. I've just remembered a forum thread from a few weeks ago about an upload that was billed as something like "Massive collection of bareback videos" and the uploader couldn't see the argument that bareback is itself a category rather than a theme suitable for a collection. Using their logic I'd estimate that you could bundle roughly 70-80% of the videos on this site into a single collection and upload that, whereas I believe the intent is to provide more focused material that represent a subset of the whole.
To the uploaders of these torrents I'd say please think of the other members, not just your own ratio. Take a little bit of time and actually curate your uploads so that downloaders aren't overwhelmed with bloat. To the ones that are just dumping this stuff on the site to help their ratios I'd say please just go and spend the price of a cup of coffee and get a seedbox for a month. That will do more for your ratio just with your usual downloads than any number of rubbish uploads will ever do.
