@promotion I think Kevin4fm is alluding to the idea that you may get more interest and therefore help if you add a picture to your original question rather than asking people to potentially jump through hoops only to discover you're asking a question about a performer or type of content that they have no interest in and won't be able to help.

RE: Seedbox
@cp2000 As far as I know you can seed from multiple IPs with no issues. You just need to make sure that nobody else with an account here is seeding from any of them or you'll get flagged for multiple accounts.
In practical terms, my advice would be to put the newest and most popular torrents in your seedbox, and only seed older and less in-demand stuff from your home connection so that you can make the most of the insane upload speeds you tend to get from a seedbox.

RE: Can't download single videos from JFF
@navyblue1632 Have you looked at the technical forums recently?
https://community.gaytor.rent/category/49/non-gt-ru-technical-stuffPlease don't take this the wrong way, but it does rather feel like this question comes up very frequently in multiple threads when there are already ongoing discussions. You'll probably get better information by adding to those threads and reading what's there.

RE: Not Happy re 90 Day Suspension.
@w0lf While I'm not sure if its publicly documented the policy of banning members for repeated DMCA strikes is not new. I understand your pain, especially as nobody knows what material is most likely to attract a strike outside of a couple of well-known studios. (A large, well-know Czech twink site springs to mind immediately.) If one of your uploads ever gets removed then I would strongly advise that you don't post anything else from that studio or creator, as they are obviously monitoring things.
Sometimes you will find vids from such sources on the site, and if they do survive it is pargely down to them not being well-labelled or attributed to the source. I would guess that publishing a list of the most aggressive DMCA issuers would attract even more attention, and perhaps mix in even more legal issues which nobody wants to see.
I'm sorry it happened to you, but in the interests of the site as a whole it is perhaps necessary to offer up a sacrificial lamb to prevent more problems. At least its only 90 days and not permanent, which really would be a pain.
As for "What happened to sharing the files??" well when someone has copyright on them they have the right to demand that we don't. The only saving grace is that they have to make specific, targetted requests to remove them. We should all thank our lucky stars that blanket takedowns aren't a thing (yet.)
Anyway, welcome back.

RE: "collection" spam
@ianfontinell-0 Controversial opinion, because I know it could end up reducing the volume of content being added to the site, but I#d like to see people start losing their uploading rights (at least temporarily) for refusing to make any attempt to curate the collections/dumps/spam they add to the site.
It raises another question for me to. Is there any point in reporting them? Some of them clearly violate the rules on collections, but to expect the mods to download all of these large collections to check them when they're reported is a lot of work and data usage, and most of the time you won't know the outcome unless you specifically go back and check after a few days.
The subject raises another thought. I think we need more feedback from the mod team when we report something on the site. We already have this when we report a duplicate, and you get a nice little message to say thanks for reporting and giving you some points.
When we report rule violations though we generally get no feedback at all. |I'm not asking for the mods to write an essay, and all we really need is some checkbox response form like
"Thanks for reporting xxxxxxxx.torrent.
Your report has been upheld/denied.
Action taken: User banned/Upload rights taken for xx days/User warned/NFA" and perhaps a chance for the mod to add an explanatory note if they like.Feedback helps everyone. It helps users to better understand where the mods interpret the threshold to be, as opposed to rigid adherence to the rules, because some leeway is to be expected. We learn what is and isn't worth reporting, and that in turn helps the mods by filtering reports down to those that actually warrant checking. Uploaders are already anonymous, so there shouldn't be any problem with targeted campaigns against people.
The more we know the more we can help.

RE: Can a ratio be too high?
@lololulu19 said in Can a ratio be too high?:
Personally, I wish people would refrain from posting anything that involves pain, simulated deaths, vaginas, scat, ancient porn, and porn featuring what I consider to be unattractive people. Also, I'm not fond of most solo stuff NOR orgies of more than 4 people.. nor videos with digitized genetalia nor videos where you never see a face.
Uhhhhhhh.......

RE: Gay Lesbian Bi vs. Trans
@lololulu19 First paragraph, fine.
Second one, I'm going to disagree a bit. For starters, you seem to have misunderstood/mislabelled the groups you are talking about.
"INTERSEX - An adjective used to describe a person with one or more innate sex characteristics, including genitals, internal reproductive organs, and chromosomes, that fall outside of traditional conceptions of male or female bodies. Do not confuse having an intersex trait with being transgender. Intersex people are assigned a sex at birth β either male or female β and that decision by medical providers and parents may not match the gender identity of the child. Not all intersex folks identify as being part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
TRANSGENDER - An umbrella term for people whose gender identity and/or gender expression differs from what is typically associated with the sex they were assigned at birth. People under the transgender umbrella may describe themselves using one or more of a wide variety of termsβ including transgender or nonbinary. Some transgender people are prescribed hormones by their doctors to bring their bodies into alignment with their gender identity. Some undergo surgery as well. But not all transgender people can or will take those steps, and a transgender identity is not dependent upon physical appearance or medical procedures."
I think transgender transvestites are simply dressing in a way that makes them feel comfortable in themselves. Some may wish to actually transition, but have reasons holding them back. I'm sure there are many who see transvestism as a kind of fetish too, but you don't seem to suggest you have any issues with people who like wearing leather, rubber or other such things.
Third paragraph, I'd refer you back to my take on paragraph 2, though I'd like to expand on one thing. The tone of your post seems to suggest that you are talking specifically about men trying to appear to be women. What is your take on women who dress like men? I mean, trousers have historically been a male garment, but women wear jeans all the time. What about women who wear boots rather than heels? Women with boyish haircuts? Women who wear chest-binders? I think you can see where I'm going with this.
Now then, the fourth paragraph...
@lololulu19 said in Gay Lesbian Bi vs. Trans:
What I resent is having transvestites lumped in with homosexuals. That is insulting. What's next? lumping pedophiles, necrophiliacs, and people who practice bestiality in with homosexuals?
Sorry, but any way you look at it that's bigotry. "Resent?" "Lumped in?" So a gay man who cross-dresses is a lesser part of our community than another gay man who doesn't? The fight for acceptance has been going on for decades. Gay Pride became simply Pride, and has encompassed gays, lesbians, transgender, bisexuals.... but you want to tell transvestites that you resent them being a part of our community and you're insulted by a perceived affiliation with them? Acceptance needs to go both ways, or would you prefer that we wind back the clock just a little bit so it's just us gays and the rest can go and fend for themselves?
As for the reference to paedophiles and the rest, I think you'll find that they are all criminal pretty much everywhere. Transvestites, at least in most forward-thinking countries, are not.
You asked for opinions on this and that's mine. You are of course free to have your own, but I'm going to say that while I personally find many of your posts floating somewhere between amusing and cringe-worthy this one has left me utterly fucking livid, and I'm holding back on what I'd happily say to someone's face if they were stood in front of me with that attitude. I think you need to go and reflect on who's lumping people into groups.
I could say a lot more, but don't have the time right now.

RE: Have two torrent services working at the same time?
@vasco25-0 It's very simple. Take your existing .torrent files and open them in the working client. As long as you've set it up to use the same folders as the non-working one it should perform a re-check on the new torrents to determine what you've already downloaded and just continue them.

Rare footage of OP deciding where to post:

@flozen The really odd thing is that half the time they need to be moved twice because they get moved to the wrong place. After all, there's a whole forum entitled Jokes & Funny Stuff, though in this case I agree that this post wouldn't fit there either.

RE: Proof that Trump won.
@lololulu19 If you've taken a course in statistics then I suggest you ask for your money back.
Also, since an IQ of 100 is by definition the average IQ I think you may need to reassess your moron assertion, particularly as that particular label hasn't been used in reference to the IQ scale in decades. When it was still used it referred to an IQ of between 51 and 70. Now I'm actually quite keen to know what IQ you think someone needs to have in order to be considered functional in modern society.

RE: Ratio seems impossible to keep up
@bodyworship8 Honestly, if you really want to give yourself some breathing space the best way to do it is with a seedbox. I recommended it in another post a while back, and the chap managed to upload an insane amount. If you manage it well you can upload over a TB in a month, which isn't bad for what is essentially the price of a cup of coffee.
The original thread is here if you're up for reading through and learning about it.

@lololulu19 You do understand that taste is a thing, right? You're not suggesting that because you don't like those vids that they are no good, are you? Kudos to you though for watching each and every one of those all the way through so that you could definitively say there isn't a good one in the whole bunch.
