@raphjd It wouldn't hurt to have this posted on the "show torrents" page (probably with a link here). Not everyone reads the forums.

I am seeing this also. Maybe an attack on the tracker?

RE: My position on torrenting gay porn.
@lololulu19 said in My position on torrenting gay porn.:
I have a fetish for being correct, and when wrong, correcting my mistakes.
I have seen no evidence of this when it comes to porn and DMCA. There are ample examples of judgements for infringing porn copyrights. Googling Corbin Fisher is an easy way to find several of them. There are also other studios/producers who have sued and won.

Given his post here and another one I found, I expect everyone will be happier now that he has deleted his account. -
RE: A connection attempt failed in download
@raphjd
with all due respect, a number of people here have said they are only seeing it on this tracker. Personally, I am seeing nothing like this on the other 5 trackers I use regularly, and I've been seeing it here solid for 5+ days. -
RE: Most of my files are red
@vashkevron
I have the same experience, from the US, for 4 days. I use BiglyBT/Vuse. 50-99% of everything from this site only shows as timed out. So that's at least three clients in multiple countries. It seems unlikely that everyone's ISPs, VPNs, etc. all started exhibiting this behavior at the same time.I have hundreds of torrents from 6 trackers in this client, and only torrents from this tracker have issues.

@Kekkaishi I'm not sure why you needed to make this political...

RE: A connection attempt failed in download
@DirtyNick
Yeah, now I'm back to 160/250 timed out. I spoke too soon earlier. -
RE: Most of my files are red
My BiglyBT says it's B3.5.0.0/4 az3. It has been at least a month since last update. Same with my O/S, router, etc.
Whatever is going on may well be something related to the source of the traffic; yours would be different from mine assuming you're not secretly my next door neighbor or something.
Others have mentioned this, but I see it also. Torrents will connect and be fine for a while when I start a new torrent, or if I restart my client, as many as 100 or so will connect fine for an hour or so. After refreshes, almost all of them end up showing a timed out connection. Currently: 21 OK, 327 timed out. Other trackers: 100s OK, none timed out.
Maybe there is something to @spiffyweasel-0's idea about overeager DoS protection.

RE: Messages & time zones - new site
@ianfontinell
thanks. I see it is already turned on for me, but was still showing CET earlier.I'll double check old vs. new interfaces the next time I have a message and raise a bug if appropriate.

RE: Is gay-torrents.net down?
@rentboy
It has been unreachable around 8 hours for me (could be more).There was a DNS update today...
All we can do at this point is leave our clients running and wait.

I looked for something like this toggle but I couldn't find it. Where is it? What's it called? -
RE: Do re-encodes count as duplicates?
@pvtycyn
significant changes in size and/or changes in format generally don't count as duplicates. -
Messages & time zones - new site
I'm using the new site layout, and I've noticed that messages are showing an absolute time rather than a relative one in messages (in this case, a reseed request message). Where it used to say "5 hours ago" it now says "May 10, 11:10". This is all fine, except it's not 11:10 in my timezone yet, so I'm wondering what time zone this is in. CET, I guess?
I looked through profile/settings and I didn't see a place to specify a timezone, so maybe the site gets the time zone from my browser? Or maybe the site never localized time zones and I'm only noticing now because of the changes...
Just wondering how this is intended to work.

RE: No torrents connected
@ianfontinell
I agree; it looks like it's fixed now. I didn't need to restart my client.FWIW, I noticed that the torrents were visible as "dead torrents" during the outage, and some of them connected and downloaded for me even though they showed as dead on the web,

RE: Armond Rizzo movie, trying to find it
@Kevin4fm
I use both the sites for the reasons you mention, and others.GEVI is better if you know a co-stars name, as you said. It also sometimes has photos from the scenes (especially for multi-scene videos), which iafd does not. And both are incomplete (run by volunteers). GEVI seems to add recent releases more quickly, at least lately.
iafd has straight porn also; GEVI is gay only.

RE: Armond Rizzo movie, trying to find it
GEVI is also a good place to look.

The site is organized slightly differently than iafd. I think it's easier to use when I know a potential co-star.
