@Aerethiel It is supposed to prevent that kind of thing in theory, but the big players to the market in Canada (Bell, Rogers, Telus, and Videotron) all have such DPI systems, which absolutely CAN and DO decrypt. Until Bill C-9 passed just recently, this practice was highly illegal, but since the passing of that bill, it has become the "standard" practice. There are other countries like Turkey that come to mind that have the same kind of DPI system. I don't know if their systems can read the actual traffic though to tell what kind it is, or if they can see the actual content as well, but I know in Canada (and likely also the USA), the big player providers (and by extension, the government) can not only see what kind of traffic is being transmitted, but they can also see the content of the traffic too. This means that for anyone who has smart home gadgets or appliances that connect to their home network, the government absolutely DOES know what you have, what you've got things set to, when you're home or not home, and so much more, as they read all the data from such gadgets to keep track of the people. It's actually kind of scary. Sadly even in Canada, especially with the recent passing of Bill C-9, a VPN doesn't help... It will keep other people on the internet from seeing what you're up to, or even seeing where and who you really are, but it absolutely will NOT stop the government from prying into your business.

@cp2000 there is an app on the mac app store called muxy that lets you combine videos and export them as an mp4, so you can take your faves and combine them and then watch them easily all together anytime. It is so you don't have to spend time putting the wall together each time.

Hello Friend my opinion keep your file by ur side, don't use cloud storage. best hard drive to buy are named ' Seagate BarraCuda ' and choose the size you need. yes Hard Drive Have A Lifetime and They will eventually fail. So i recommend a SSD Are more expensive but more trust worthy. Yes you should always backup your files.

Nevermind, after looking through some other threads, the solution for me was to enable the SSL tracker. May be useful in case anyone else comes across this thread

Hi @rayban099 - hope all is well with you? Keen to see about updating this setup, if you're around.  Maybe you can drop me a PM so we don't have to fill the forum space up with too much specific stuff for one user?  Happy to chat it through publically too if you want I've sort of cheated with my uploading… I set my max uploads to 2500 torrents and now I'm uploading 1,224 of them... meaning I'm finally getting some ratio back!  But that's still within qBittorrent... so I keep getting asked to reseed things and it just... won't

You can't use Surf Shark to seed This is why I use these https://airvpn.org/?referred_by=201634 They do cost a bit more but you get so much more control plus the old saying you get what you pay for (these offer discounts when its special times of the year like halloween etc) The other thing Surf Shark sounds good on paper but simple things like unlimited connections and constant pushing deals this just shows I wouldn't trust them what so ever its not sustainable

@tiempo: So this website in particular is actually so simple to download from… No need for any program other than Chrome. Right click and select "Inspect." Select "Network." So say you wanted 1080p. Click each video you want to get on the page, adjust your quality to what you would like. Then in the search area of the Inspect type "1080p" or whatever quality you selected. Each video will pop up and it will look like this: [image: 1781650898886-4945fbd94ce1.jpg] Simply right click each link and select "Open in new tab" and the file will ask if you want to save. Can't believe that was so simple… Hi, what is that website?

Found one active torrent so far (the other 2 are dead): https://www.gaytor.rent/details.php?id=c589e89d512a6b0c11244bd4543d392cea3f2953588318c3 If you're unable to download torrents to open with your torrent client (such as uTorrent) - try using a different browser.

@eobox91103: I have a lot of "adult" material on my computer, as well as financial data, browsers with saved passwords, etc.  This stuff is saved under my user profile (it's a Windows machine), so theoretically nobody could get to it unless they have my logon password.  But people are clever, especially nieces and nephews who visit occasionally,  Is there a more secure way of locking down these files or directories?  Years ago I used something called Norton Encrypt, which locked individual files with a password, but it's rather clunky to use. A second question involved portable drives, such as USB sticks or external hard drives.  Any thoughts on good ways of locking those up? Thanks muc! It's been a few months since you posted, but it would be best to not allow anyone who is a minor to use your computer if you have porn on it.  Even if you have it password protected or encrypted, there may be ways it could be accessible.  For example, the software  you use to play videos may keep a history of videos watched and even have video in a cache.  Don't take chances with something like that.  Kids these days are smart about stuff like that.

@kazaafrk: If you're interested in sharing your vast library, … Let me know. While not vast, I've spent a painstaking amount of time finding names and cover art for my porn collection. I also have a little sprinkling of music, movies, & TV there as well. I can be found on Plex with the same username as seen here. Happy to Share 4 Share!

@MrMazda: No… You should resume the download or seeding from where you left off. This will prevent you from getting charged double the download. Yes... This is usually a sign that the file has been damaged. Once the file goes to "Seeding", it is 100% complete, without flaw. thank u sir so much for the help
