@Aerethiel It is supposed to prevent that kind of thing in theory, but the big players to the market in Canada (Bell, Rogers, Telus, and Videotron) all have such DPI systems, which absolutely CAN and DO decrypt. Until Bill C-9 passed just recently, this practice was highly illegal, but since the passing of that bill, it has become the "standard" practice. There are other countries like Turkey that come to mind that have the same kind of DPI system. I don't know if their systems can read the actual traffic though to tell what kind it is, or if they can see the actual content as well, but I know in Canada (and likely also the USA), the big player providers (and by extension, the government) can not only see what kind of traffic is being transmitted, but they can also see the content of the traffic too. This means that for anyone who has smart home gadgets or appliances that connect to their home network, the government absolutely DOES know what you have, what you've got things set to, when you're home or not home, and so much more, as they read all the data from such gadgets to keep track of the people. It's actually kind of scary. Sadly even in Canada, especially with the recent passing of Bill C-9, a VPN doesn't help... It will keep other people on the internet from seeing what you're up to, or even seeing where and who you really are, but it absolutely will NOT stop the government from prying into your business.

@cp2000 there is an app on the mac app store called muxy that lets you combine videos and export them as an mp4, so you can take your faves and combine them and then watch them easily all together anytime. It is so you don't have to spend time putting the wall together each time.

I believe I ran into this once before. When I cleared my browser's cache, then completely restarted it, the problem seemed to fix itself. Also, I had to ensure that my computer's date, time, and time zone settings were all set correctly. The combination of the two things seemed to make the problem go away.

Yes… The site owner is doing updates and bug fixes. This can take some time.

I got tired of occasionally losing my media/porn on drives that would fail, so I built a home server running Windows Server 2016 and got two 4 disk Probox enclosures to add several drives to a Windows managed Storage Space. I currently have 26tb (before striping/mirroring) that I use for various things, my porn collection included. It's almost worse now, because while I don't have to worry about losing it, filling up a drive previously would force me to clean out stuff I don't watch, now I just expand the partition and pop another drive in the array once a year or so.

@teenboy14: Just turn on firewall, keep a password on, make backups to an external drive, and use a vm for anything you might think is dangerous. I assure you that this is a rather terrible idea… A firewall alone will not protect from certain kinds of malware, especially if it supports UPnP. While it may be sufficient to prevent most internet based exploits, it does not take into account that some of them take advantages of other loopholes in the system, not necessarily limited to just exploiting things like UPnP to be able to establish a Trojan Horse style attack, but also certain other hardware exploits that do not necessarily need the internet to be able to do their harm. Such examples include ransomware, which can encrypt your sensitive information and critical system components, or even worse, in the case of one Mac virus I was hit with back in the late 1990's, it actually did physical damage to the internal hardware of the system, which effectively destroyed the entire computer beyond repair.... A simple firewall in this case would not have been sufficient to be able to save me from this attack, as the particular computer in question was only equipped with a 56k DIAL-UP connection, which was not even established at the time. Believe it or not, simply by inserting a 3.5" floppy disk into my computer that was infected with the virus was enough to take everything down.... The down side of hardware that is designed to automatically read whatever media is inserted the moment that it is inserted...

I much prefer Android over iOS… Apple is very well known for cooperating with different agencies both in Canada and the USA. In fact, there have been a number of people in Canada alone who have had literally the entire contents of their whole device easily and willingly turned over to the authorities, without putting up any resistance, and in some cases, without even requiring a warrant to divulge that information. It was simply requested without any sort of legal process and voluntarily handed over, including live updates to keep track of a suspected crime in progress to use that information against the person, long before even having to seek a warrant for the arrest. The information in one such case that I can think of was used as their "probable cause" to arrest and detain first, THEN seek the warrant for custody. Granted, I don't intend on doing anything illegal, however having gone through a legal nightmare a few years back over something that I didn't even do, I'm certainly not about to give the wrong people anything that could be of any value to them if I can absolutely help it. While Google does track certain things, they do not store anywhere NEAR as much information, and they go out of their way to put up as much of a fight as possible to resist having to cooperate with the authorities. That's part of why Google goes to great lengths to ensure that the powers that be simply cannot be contacted. Among the things that are not stored on Google but are stored if you have iOS include text messages, every single file that you've stored on your phone, all of your contacts (regardless of whether or not you use the cloud), and so, so much more.... I happen to know for a fact that in Canada, unless the phone is a Telus post-paid cell phone, once the text message is deleted from the device, it is gone forever, unless it can be retrieved from the other device that either sent you the message, or received the message from you. Also, the different features that Android phones have to integrate into Google do come with alternatives that do not require you to use Google to make them work. If you use these options to steer clear of "the cloud", then the information is kept solely within your device. The same cannot be said about iOS products, as the ENTIRE phone is forcefully backed up to the cloud, which includes.... you guessed it.... All that information you were trying to keep OUT of the cloud. Since I have been a person of interest by the authorities in my community in the past, this is my reason for choosing Google as sadly, being the lesser of the two evils.

There are many tube sites available, but on the most part, they're all subject to the DMCA, so it really doesn't matter where you post them. That said, streaming video and torrents are two completely different breeds of distribution for content. The two do not usually mix very well, if at all.

I had good success with AmpliFi HD in a 3-level townhome. It was the end-all for my home network maintenance.

@MrMazda: I would NOT be inclined to recommend Dropbox for anything PERIOD. In my experience, their customer service is utterly incompetent and doesn't know what they're doing, and thus, will only run you around in circles for MONTHS. Also, their technical support is nothing short of a joke either. I stopped using Dropbox after I had been complaining about a bug in their Linux version for OVER A YEAR, before I finally got a generic response more or less saying that they have no intention of fixing the bug. In short, Dropbox is a waste of money and if anything goes wrong, it's more or less a case of "too bad, so sad, I'm glad you're mad!" Dropbox has never been a pick for me. I don't even know why they're famous. But I keep looking at their free storage and say, "Meh, not enough.". And I'm not even talking about porn.

Has anyone done the math regarding paying for a seedbox vs 'donating' to GT.ru? It seems like we have an excess of seeders. We need more people downloading so seeders can keep ratios up.

I do know the coding that would be required, but the problem is that said coding must go either into the body tag itself, or into an embedded CSS that is referred to, usually in the document head. Adding the no scroll tags outside of those parameters will only yield the desired result when the content is either in a frame, or is in a text box within the page itself. The only other possibility would be to define the object within a frame, but that can get really complex and really tricky real quick. I'm not sure if there'd be a way to import that into Tumblr though…

I played around with quite a few programs for this purpose and the only one I could get to work was getflv. I couldn't find a free one that worked well at all, the ones that did work didn't work on porn sites, but getflv did. It does have its flaws and it crashes if I try to download more than 4 films at once but I can live with that.

The best decision about PC privacy is not using Windows. How about Debian? The privacy is REALLY customizable and there are so many shell user interfaces to choose from if you insist on having a good working experience.

@MrMazda: No… If it were a DNS issue, he woud be getting ERR_DNS_PROBE(NXDOMAIN) or something along those lines... Connection Aborted sounds like a routing blockade set by the ISP or local government to me. A VPN would help with that though. Thanks guys back to normal I switched ISP and eureka I am back here
