Have a look: ....The main problem I see is that you are currently shown as "NOT connectable" Your µTorrent is reported as not connectible by our tracker. That means requests from other peers to get parts of the file don't reach it, and in YOUR case you only have a FEW torrents that are actively seeding, which all have DOZENS of other (connectable) members also seeding... so it's going to be rare that you actually get a request for data. Did you already set up port forwarding on your DSL modem to match to match the port used by your uTorrent program? If you're unsure how to configure the internal settings of your DSL modem, you may need to consult a computer technician, or have alook here: http://portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/Torrent/Torrentindex.htm After you have established the port forwarding with your DSL Modem: a) Select the UPnP port forwarding and Windows firewall exception in µTorrent's connection settings. Then restart µTorrent. b) Reboot your modem/router (the box to connect to the internet) You can test if your µTorrent is connectible there: µTorrent > Options > Setup Guide > select the "Network" test only and run it. The result should be a green check sign. If it is yellow/orange, your µTorrent is not connectible. Visiting http://www.canyouseeme.org/ can also confirm the port you've chosen to forward, to confirm that it is actually open. This is a free utility for remotely verifying if a port is open or closed. It is useful to users who wish to verify port forwarding and check to see if a server is running or a firewall or ISP is blocking certain ports. ssh is secure shell I'll quote wiki (too lazy to type :P) "Secure Shell or SSH is a network protocol that allows data to be exchanged using a secure channel between two networked devices. The encryption used by SSH provides confidentiality and integrity of data over an insecure network, such as the Internet." to quote wiki, screen is – "GNU Screen is a free terminal multiplexer that allows a user to access multiple separate terminal sessions inside a single terminal window or remote terminal session. It is useful for dealing with multiple programs from the command line, and for separating programs from the shell that started the program." ssh is always there on sane linux enviornment even NX uses ssh as communication protocol you can use PuTTY for ssh (go into options and select SSH protocol, port 22) try this - $ ssh USER_NAME@_REMOTE_HOST_ADDRESS where USER_NAME == your username on the remote machine (your seedbox) and _REMOTE_HOST_ADDRESS == hostname of your remote machine e.g. $ ssh [email protected] you can do all sorts of cool things with ssh rite now I have tunneled across the continents and I am browsing gay sites with encrypted data transfers (so my ISP doesnt know what the heck I am doing) I even download torrents using a socks proxy created using ssh ~rR

I understand that, but that's not what I meant. The files are there, even though I deleted them. When you delete a file, it should disappear from the hard drive screen and show up in the recycling bin. In my case, the files are still showing on my hard drive and not in the recycling bin.

@raphjd: The person IS NOT on this site, at least not that I know of. As I said in the opening post, he's the admin of a politics discussion site. I've "internet known" him for about 15 years and he's always proclaimed to be a gay man. He's long had some weird ideas. OH - I guess that makes a difference. And the results of the poll pretty much says it all doesn't it. BTW - when I posted that ranting, I did not realalize it was such an OLD posting and poll. So now I kind of feel like a fool for ranting so harshly on a 4+ year old topic. :blind:

@raphjd: This is in Aberdeen where I live, but I only heard about it from another forum as none of the UK media seemed to talk about it, until this weekend when vote happened. I regard it as a sign of progress that this ordainment was not news in Scotland. It should not be news anywhere. Gay bishops, gay priests, gay presidents, gay prime ministers, and gay people of all sorts should be no more remarkable for being gay than for being left-handed.

I don't know about other countries, but in the UK, you can get a cheap OEM version of an operating system by buying it with another computer part; ie a new hard drive. If you need to upgrade your computer anyway, this helps save a bunch of money on the full cost of the operating system.

Chromium project is older than Google, but Chrome is the most "popular" of Chromium/Blink browsers. For me that sounds like scam or blatant lie. As a first thing: no German court can sentence a foreign ISP to divulge any information. 2nd: there is no real High Court in Germany, the highest court in Germany is the federal constitutinal court - and that is not allowet to accept a claim from a p2p company. So the next highest court (for civil and or criminal law is the "BundesGerichtsHof (BGH)" but they cant take a claim with a the value of £ 500 - that value has to be decided by a "normal" court (Amtsgericht). 3rd: there is already a sentence (of a federeal state's upper court, IIRC Berlin) which allows a state lawyer to dismiss a claim that aims to get a Internet users personal data from an ISP by a criminal claim (only way to get a court order to divulge that information legally) only to start a civil claim from that data. There seems to be something terribly smelling about such detours. I can only advise each of our users who gets such letters to search legal advise - please remember - I am not a lawyer and I'm not allowed to give legal advice.

The problem with Schwarzenegger is that he lives in two worlds: the progressive Hollywood world and the Republican politician world. I think personally he probably supports gay marriage, but he's a Republican. If he wants to advance his political career (as a Republican at least) he has to oppose gay marriage or at least not actively promote it. This is why the Republican party needs to divorce itself from the social conservatives. Arnold is really a Barry Goldwater style Republican, but he has to carry water for the social conservatives in order to stay respected in Republican circles. Actually I don't think he supported Prop 8 (see hxxp://www.news10.net/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=50304). I seem to remember after the court decision came down allowing gay marriage, that he said he would not support or get involved with any attempts to amend the California constitution to outlaw gay marriage. I think he figured since the court made the decision he was home free: his fellow Republicans couldn't blame him for allowing gay marriage in California, but he also got to take credit among supporters of gay rights for not opposing the court decision. Prop 8 passing is probably a bit of a nightmare for him actually. A lot of angry people are going to remember his inaction and lukewarm support for the gay marriage efforts and vote accordingly next time he's up for reelection. That's why he wants the Supreme Court to overturn it.

There are some inherent problems with this though; 1. As it stands now, we can't even get enough bone marrow for people with Leukemia. 2. The average cost for a simple bone marrow transplant is $250,000. Imagine how much this specialized type of bone marrow transplant is going to cost. 3. The vast majority of AIDS patients are in the poorest regions, so they will be flooding western countries to get treatment on backs of the taxpayers in these countries.
