Risk management is a thousand shades of grey. Driving 20 miles and back) to a bare hookup with an undetectible partner while I'm using PREP is far more dangerous than the sex act itself.

Beautiful picture, and I'm sure the rest of your body is also as beautiful.

Don't worry about perfect English. Yours is just fine, and there are other language boards at https://community.gaytor.rent/category/164/language-boards if you find you native language and with to communicate directly.

      Welcome!

    • RE: Is it possible to change your username?

@MrMazda Thank you for the information. I'm tempted to do this, because when I signed up I didn't know that my user name would be a "thing" in the forum or on torrent comments. (For example, I have usernames with banks and frequent flyer programs that nobody ever sees.)

For those curious, my username is based on having some years back living in a large city down in the US, and my mailing address was "PO Box 91103." I though I's just change the "P" to an "E" (for electronic" and be done with it. It turns out that 91103 is a post code for an area near Los Angeles, and I sometimes get PM's from members near there who would like to hook up.

It's tempting to make a change (I could convert my SBP to upload and thus not lose them), but it's a lot of work for me and the moderators, and I'm not sure it's worth it.

      this train-wreck of a thread.

Such an elegant expression; I may use it myself some time.

I thought that if I answered the OP's question, things would settle down. Perhaps the Gentle Moderator could even lock this thread.

If there is content on the site you don't want to see, there are ALREADY filters on the browse and search pages - learn to use them.

Hey folks, let's calm down. We don't need yet another anti-trans rant in the forum.

As @bi4smooth reminds us, we can turn searching for trans material in our search preferences:

Untick that box and you should be happy.

    • RE: Dandruff

@n3am I am not a medical specialist, but I know dandruff is quite common (I had a nasty case in middle school). But I can say that not all doctors are created equal, and if you're not getting the results you want, go to another. If you're locked into a specific person through and HMO or the like, write a polite but pointed letter their medical director.

I was wondering: is there a list

You might try https://gayeroticvideoindex.com/company/304 , and then sort by release date. It only gives a year, and no "serial numbers," but maybe it's a start. I don't know how complete the list is, or whether it includes the "hidden" videos.

I'm interested in this topic because I've had a few torrents taken down due to DMCA requests, and the more I learn about this, the better a user I'll be.

Thank you in advance for this and your other helpful posts in the forum.

    • RE: Why do some torrent show seeders when they're not in the swarm?

@ianfontinell-0 said in Why do some torrent show seeders when they're not in the swarm?:

If the tracker reports a seeder it means they are in the swarm, this doesn't necessarily mean that they are available to seed.

Perhaps you could clarify for me what a "swarm" is. I had been thinking that all seeders and leechers were on more or less equal footing, but it sounds like "swarms" are subsets of seeders and/or leechers, and if I'm not in an active swarm (that has material I want or can share), then I'm just idle until I get into the right swarm.

I'm somewhat IT-savvy (I'm the go-to resource in our office before we need to call a real expert), so feel free to give a more technical explanation.

Thanks in advance for this, and for the many helpful comments you have added to the forum.

    • RE: Are collection rules enforced?

The ever-perceptive @ianfontinell makes a great point that the site is understaffed, and sometimes smaller "infractions" to the rules can't always be addressed. The concept of a "common theme" is a matter of interpretation. While a collection that has "All of Dick Bigcock's videos" is clear, a collection entitled "My favorite gay porn" is not keeping with the rules.

There's also the rule about listing all of the files in the torrent. This is problematical given that there are lots of fan site uploads whose holding dozens of files with nonsense names like "q03495uehgj.jpg"--and conveying a list of such isn't very informative to a prospective downloader. The rule is also perhaps a bit redundant, because I find that mousing over the "number of files" entry will pop up a window showing all the file names.

It might be worth considering having a "best practices" list that aren't official rules, but that make torrent pages more useful to the prospective downloader. Examples might be:

      • If there are many video files in a torrent, including a thumbnail page for each one as a .jpg is very helpful. This is not difficult to do using tools like "AutoMovieThumbnailer", where I can point the app to a folder of videos and it generates thumbnail sheets for each one.

      • Including a sample video clip (1-2 minutes) of a video so the downloader can judge the quality of the video. There are some older/vintage videos that are much less than HD quality, and members might not want to download 1 GB if the file is not up to their quality standards. I use "Movavi Video Converter" to do this...and this app has a lot of other capabilities as well.

Perhaps a good but ill-defined standard would be the old Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." When posting a torrent, include as much information as you would like to see in a torrent that you download.

End of sermon. I apologise for the length of my post. I work in a field where something called a "brief" can be hundreds of pages long.

As a lad we always had non-fat milk, which I didn't mind. When I went to university, I got 2% and enjoyed it very much. Now I treat myself to full-fat milk, although I don't have much of it.

That said, there's another white liquid that I enjoy drinking even more, but I digress.

      @blablarg18 You're right, I forgot that one.

Back to the pyramid itself, I'm not sure how to interpret it: Are things better for us at the top of the pyramid? Or should we eat more of things at the top and less from the bottom. If so, I'm pleased to see broccoli and peas at the top, as they are favorites of mine.

Also, the image shows canned green bean and canned tuna. That implies at least some level of processing. It mystifies me. Fortunately my partner is a professional chef, and he worries about this stuff for me.

    • RE: Deleted files still taking up the space!

@ianfontinell-0 Thank you again for your explanation. I appreciate the thoroughness and time you invest in answering questions, not only on this topic but so many others. If there were an award for "Hero of the Forum," you would get it.

Back to this specific topic, and using more metaphorical and less numerical mind, it sounds like when someone downloads the 30 GB torrent spoken about above, at first the Windows OS "fences off" 30 GB of space for where the data will eventually go. Then, if one properly stops the torrent before downloading all the material, and the folder goes away, the "fencing" is removed, and the space previously reserved for the non-downloaded material is freed back up to the OS.

This topic also got me curious about the backup drives I use to store older material that I've downloaded, as well as some personal and business stuff. It seems that when I manually copy folders to those off-board drives, there's no wasted space. I tested one with "Disk Properties" and got the following:
      389f7525-32fb-49ef-b510-e667f304b6ba-image.png
It looks like there's only 0.1% of overhead here, which is certainly tolerable and not something I'm going to worry about.
