Question: Sometimes I've deleted a torrent and its content (using uTorrent 3.5.5), without actually stopping the torrent, if I've looked at some of the content and don't want to download the rest. If the folder (given that it was a multi-file torrent) disappears, can I assume that the extra space has been freed up. If not, is there a way to recover this space?

I am not a moderator, so what I say is just this member's personal opinion.

Age verification has entered a dark new age. Most sites that say they require age verification will settle for an upload of a scan/.jpg of the applicant's driver's licence or other government identification. These can be altered by someone skillful with Photoshop, or ordered on the dark web for a fee as little as 100 USD. Sites requiring age verification have little incentive to resort to more sophisticated approaches, as they don't want to turn away business. I don't think they are concerned with the "negative aspects" you mention, other than not wanting to host an OnlyFans (or the like) model who is quite obviously under 18

I heard a BBC report this morning that Australia was banning social media accounts for those under 14. One can argue the pros and cons of such a rule, but I suspect it will spawn a vigourous industry in making false ID's.

The people who run gt.ru have no doubt given this matter considerable thought, and I hope they weigh in here.

@benjiknope-0 Even though there isn't a lot of new traffic in the Forum, using the search function (upper right of the screen that looks like is a good way to find discussions on things of interest.

Freeleech is good for helping new and/or low ratio seeders recover ratio and get back into the mainline. I don't think making a torrent (mine or someone else's) freeleech has a net benefit to my seedpoints or upload count, but I have a lot of both, and sometimes I'll spend to points to freeleech an older torrent--mine or someone else's--to give it new life. There's some older stuff on here (10+ years) that will soon go to Torrent Heaven w/o being freeleeched that I think new users would find interesting.

I take the same approach. For me, the enjoyment of porn is the fantasy of watching video action and vicariously putting myself into the role of one of the models. If there are multiple videos, or even too many people in a video (as one has in an orgy), it's hard for me to do that. I also don't like some porn where the editor keeps switching scenes every three seconds or so, as I find it hard to keep track of the guy I'm fantasizing about. I think this is why some home-made porn (including that from fan sites) can be appealing, as it's often shot in a continuous scene with a single smartphone camera.

Also, the search function (the little magnifying glass icon at the upper right of the screen) can be handy if you have a specific question such as how to deal with a software problem, or even recommendations for a good toothbrush--if you search on those terms, you might find an answer without having to wait for someone to reply.

So, welcome to the forums, and while they might not be what you were expecting, there's still a lot of good stuff here. And, you can always add a new topic and see how people respond. I'd love to see a topic on "My most unusual/funniest/unexpected/worst etc. sexual experience.

Depending on the size of the collection and how much download buffer you have, you could set your torrent software to download some of the files (25% maybe?) and see how much they are then seeded out to other users. If they're popular, you might improve your ratio...and then you can download more.

@leo2003 I'm pretty sure it would count as downloaded content, even if you were the original source. (Someone who knows this stuff better than I do might want to weigh in here.)

I'm a bit confused, though, when you say you lost the original files but you don't want to stop seeding: If you don't have the files, how are you seeding them.

I, too, am mildly annoyed by some endless stream of comments. Sometimes, when the number of comments reaches six or so, I'll add one suggesting that if people want to pursue the matter, they create a forum topic on it. Sometimes this works, but alas, a large majority of users do not use the forum at all.

@gabisev Waiting is about the best we can do. If nothing happens in a week or so, you might try it again, and then abandon the cause. Users who have (or have deleted) the material don't want a "please re-seed" note every hour for a month. (OK, that's a little bit of an exaggeration.)

Also, I think you meant to say "zero seeders for a long time." It's seeders who have the material, and you'd like there to be several of them so you can get the material. (This has something to to with "swarms" that I don't fully understand, but that can be the topic of another thread.)

Somehow I had in mind that these videos took place in Rhode Island, but I don't recall how I formed that idea. The accents are clearly northeast US, but hard to localise further.

"Vinnie" might have used bait-and-switch, but not with every lad.
