People simply need to stop uploader huge files or many folders of files at once if they don't have the upload speeds to manage it. Some are just too impatient to properly upload videos and don't care if they were successfully downloaded by others.

@dlboi585: I had posted in these forums before (question about upload rules for collection etc). And got really snarky replies from very fluent English speakers basically saying "it's too much work/effort". I would really love to see this response myself actually. One of the ways that we can deal with users who simply refuse to follow the guidelines is to switch their profile back to moderator assisted approval for torrents. This allows us to have more control with these users. So by all means, please bring such cases to our attention so that we can handle them accordingly. I fully agree that "it's too much work/effort" is not a valid excuse for not posting at least a little something about the video. @dlboi585: So EVERY time I decide to make the mistake (always ends up as a mistake) and d/l a collection of 8-20 videos with 0-2 screencaps, random descript details (almost ALWAYS wrong) or (my personal favorite) pics of performers NO WHERE in ANY OF THE VIDEOS, I will comment (when I get burned and my ratio takes the hit) that performer are absent vs posted pix or mislabeled or ACTUAL dups INSIDE THE COLLECTION with variations on title (ie f_ckfest with Armond Rizzo/f_ckfest with Joey Rodriguez). Actually, believe it or not, the only person who gets notified of a comment on the torrent is the uploader, and I believe any other users who have commented on the torrent. In these cases, it's actually better to hit the report button and give a brief explanation of what the issue is there. This way, mods will see the report and can handle it accordingly. It's much more efficient this way because mods will see reports, but will only see comments if they happen to click on that torrent in the list and scroll down to see the comments.

Do you think a "contact uploader" button should be added It's worth thinking about but it would have to be an opt-out when uploading as some people really do want to be anonymous

:true: I've always tried to send some bonus points or at least click on thank you to let the uploaders know I appreciate the effort and also give extra to the ones which I want to see more of. It's a small token for the effort they put in, and helps let them know which ones I really enjoyed.

Ellis, you ask questions here that I have brought up elsewhere. Like the excellent one about inconsistent deletions. I asked that after having three uploads deleted in a row when there were dozens from the same studio still on here. And it's not hard with some torrents for dedicated porn hobbyists to discover the real name, studio and actors  As for an uploading contest. I honestly don't give a stuff. I gave up posting torrents here (except in special circumstances) a while ago. I wasn't trying to be popular but a nod to my efforts would have been nice - not seed points but maybe a thanks. And I doubt I have deprived anyone of any money - if these things hadn't been available via usenet or torrents, I wouldn't have gone out and bought them.

Don't worry about problems downloading from this site just now. The simple answer is you CAN'T, no-one can, no need to adjust your settings. The tracker is not working while stuff is 'done'. It has nothing to do with your end, your torrent client, your connection or whether you screwed a Moderator. There is nothing you can do. Except as slip45 says 'be patient'. Start getting worried if you can't sign in to see these messages

It appears that while improving the tracker so that there are less timeouts received at the torrent clients announces, a glitch prevented the system to log the (first) seeding started. Which then lead to the "not seeding" messages sent out and later automated deleting.  :afr: The different messages to the Helpdesk and this topic helped to become aware of the issue, than you. Please understand that when such question first drops in, before there are multiple in a short period, the usual standard cause is addressed in the reply. In your case it wasn't a standard answer, because the moderator did look into the log to see it was deleted for not seeded after 3 days. Certainly a lot of torrents got deleted and even more "not seeding" messages sent out wrongly. Sorry! The issue has been fixed.
