RE: gay-torrents.org is DOWN
Might be nice if a Mod could create a new .Org thread, and move all the new lawsuit posts to that thread. Then maybe merge all the .Net posts without the .Org stuff. Totally up to the staff, but makes sense to me.

RE: gay-torrents.org is DOWN
Just to clarify, NONE of this lawsuit has anything to do with this forum topic. gay-torrents.net is NOT being sued. It was down for a few hours due to a technical issue. It was back up and running a few hours later.
The lawsuit is with gay-torrents.ORG, which has been down for about 2 weeks, and may not come back.

RE: Can't get to another torrent site ?
@Playmate I'm pretty sure there were at least 2 other threads. Not to mention a couple posts in an already existing thread about a completely different site.

RE: gay-torrents.net appears to be down too. Looks like lawsuits against gay torrent sites are following thick and fast. Perhaps they should be doing more to hide their identity.
gaytorrents.net (no dash, different TLD, diffrent site owners, different software running the site AND trackers) has had some recent issues with their DNS - likely a change was made to the server IPs, and there were propagation delays in getting the front-ends (load balancers, etc) aligned - but that's conjecture.
Actually gay-torrents.net does have a dash. No dash sends you to a BADWARE site according to uBlock Origin.
The actual reason gay-torrents.net was down for several hours, was due to a glitch in the host DNS server's ability to auto re-validate the yearly validation. The downtime occurred when the host erroneously parked the domain. That has since been rectified manually. There could still be a few users who are waiting for their ISP's to re-populate their own DNS servers.

RE: Can't get to another torrent site ?
@Playmate The site has been working fine for me for the last 8-ish hours. They were down due to a DNS issue with their host. Perhaps you need to wait for your ISP's chosen DNS server to re-populate. Nothing nefarious going on, just a technical glitch. Should resolve itself for most people in a few hours. For some people it may take a couple days.

It may take a bit for everyone's DNS info to re-populate, but it appears .NET is back up, after that brief technical issue with our host.

RE: gay-torrents.org is DOWN
@NickJakobs You're confusing .Org with .Net. The lawsuit is with .Org. The info you posted from the main page about DNS servers, is from .Net (which is only having temporary technical issues).

.Net is glitching. It's a technical error with the DNS server. I may be up/down/slow until the host gets their shit together.

@nix54 The title says .net is down. They're up and working for me. A few glitches due to a problem with the dns server, but otherwise, it is up and running.

RE: Is gay-torrents.net down?
It'll be back in a few hours probably.
Or maybe not... At least, probably not soon, if at all. Never say never, but, it sure is suspicious.
There is an article on TorrentFreak referencing a lawsuit with Gay-Torrents.Org (aka Gay-Area.Org).
As @frostycab said, this has nothing to do with Gay-Torrents.Net.

RE: Advice for better search terms for finding the following
@whsockslover However you do this, it's not going to give you all the possible results you might want. Many torrents have little or no description, and few have any tags. However, you can get some good results by:
In the Search space, put in Jerk* - That asterisk will give you results for Jerk, Jerking, Jerked, etc.
Under the Search window in the Where to Search tick boxes: Choose "Torrent Description".
In the Genre tick boxes. Clear all and then tick "Twink".
That should give less than 600 results. Many of which look like what you're looking for.

RE: Is gay-torrents.net down?
MOST DNS servers have updated, but there are still some stragglers. I wouldn't worry too much for a couple of days for some to resolve the correct IP addresses. We have 3 different IP addresses for the torrent site (Torrent database, Images, and Tracker), so it may take a few days for all of them to propagate fully into the thousands (over 62,000 public servers) of DNS servers.

RE: Ryan O'Neal dead at 82
And some kind mod did make it FreeLeech. Thanks!

RE: Ryan O'Neal dead at 82
Ryan O'Neal was also in a gay comedy: "Partners" (1982)
There is a well seeded version here: https://www.gaytor.rent/details.php?id=c4aabc0bc4b364ef95c1353710c251f042b4735b03ab7c2e
Perhaps a moderator could make it Freeleech for a bit as a tribute.

RE: Login & Loading Issues ...
I've seen several users posting about the same delay/lag issues for this website in the Forum on another Torrent website. Personally, other than a brief issue now and then, I haven't noticed much of this at all. Today so far it's been pretty normal. Yesterday I only saw some not exceptional lag a couple of times during the day.
Except for the Forums (which always directs to the .ru site even from the .rent site), I exclusively use the .rent site. This is the first time I've been on .ru in a few months. @MrMazda @Joker
Just thought I'd mention it, since it's not as bad for some as others.

RE: Star Trek Discovery TV Series
@eobox91103 said in Star Trek Discovery TV Series:
My house in the US has cable, Netflix, and Amazon Prime; I think I need something else to get Discovery. Next time I'm there, I'll check around.
Discovery is has moved to Paramount+. I think it was originally on CBS All Access (maybe still is?). All of the Star Trek series, including the newest one "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" are now on Paramount+.
I personally like the newest "Strange New Worlds" better than "Discovery".
