From the 1970s through the 1990s, almost all porn was recorded on VHS tape. Even a well preserved master that is converted to digital is restricted in being "poor quality" no matter how well it's done. This is due to the poor quality of VHS recording in general.

Even digitally enhanced remastered copies of VHS recordings look "old" because the original copy was low quality from the start.

Not to mention that magnetic tape (which is what VHS is) degrades over time, even in the best of environments. Porn studios weren't really known for keeping their masters in the best possible location inside their offices.

From the .rent site, clicking on "Forums" takes you to the forums on .ru and asks for a new login.

Also from the .rent site; when receiving a reseed request for a torrent. Clicking on the link to the torrent, takes you to a 404 error page.

I would have sent a ticket to the help desk, except there was no link here on the forums at .ru anymore. So I created a post here instead of going to the Torrents page to try and find the Support link.

I did wait after seeing the "News" post on March 8th saying the new site was ready and everything was going to be forwarded to .rent, but these issues remained.

I do understand that the Forums and Torrents are probably at the very least a sub-site of each other. I'm certain that's most likely where the problems are being incurred.

I have to agree with Arago. Since I started using a seedbox, I haven't gone past 50% of my data cap (a bit less than your cap). AND my seeding is now 24/7 so I'm gaining a much better ratio.

There are lot's of providers and plans for most every budget.

Nothing nefarious going on, just a technical glitch. Should resolve itself for most people in a few hours. For some people it may take a couple days.

Born and raised in the USA and having lived for a long time in a region of the USA where there is little or no accent, I can offer what I feel is the "common" pronunciation from my experience:

I-dee-ology although I have heard Id-eology (like the psychology word id) spoken frequently, but that may be just a more posh pronunciation.

E-ther and I-ther are both spoken nearly equally. E-ther is probably more commonly used, and I-ther may be a bit more posh.

Just to clarify, NONE of this lawsuit has anything to do with this forum topic. gay-torrents.net is NOT being sued. It was down for a few hours due to a technical issue. It was back up and running a few hours later.

The lawsuit is with gay-torrents.ORG, which has been down for about 2 weeks, and may not come back.

@Playmate I'm pretty sure there were at least 2 other threads. Not to mention a couple posts in an already existing thread about a completely different site.

It may take a bit for everyone's DNS info to re-populate, but it appears .NET is back up, after that brief technical issue with our host.

@NickJakobs You're confusing .Org with .Net. The lawsuit is with .Org. The info you posted from the main page about DNS servers, is from .Net (which is only having temporary technical issues).

.Net is glitching. It's a technical error with the DNS server. I may be up/down/slow until the host gets their shit together.

@nix54 The title says .net is down. They're up and working for me. A few glitches due to a problem with the dns server, but otherwise, it is up and running.
