@frostycab you can actually make record audio from a specific process nowadays using specialized software, the major issue is still the screen and the hardware performance required to encode multiple streams without causing lag/frame drops and whatnot. It's pretty much unfazeable for most home computers.

@driftwood714 for starters I recommend wondershare uniconverter. It's paid, but you can find it in any torrent site like 1337x or rutracker. It has a super easy to use interface, allows you to trim the videos if neccessary, and most importantly it's compatible with a lot of formats. If you have a modern CPU/GPU you can use HEVC as your desired output format, as HEVC needs less bitrate to achieve a decent image, you can cut the size of your H264 videos in half using HEVC. Just bear in mind that different resolutions will always need more bitrate to preserve the quality. If you need to reduce sizes too drastically you can also reduce the video resolution.

@erbe2020 I think it is some sort of buffer or cache problem They get overloaded and can't clear properly. Your download program then gets stuck. Usually you can view in the browser but not download. I am not sure that it is necessarily only a problem with encrypted files, it may be a formatting problem with the uploaded file. I find that Video DownloadHelper often hangs after a number of downloads and just won't work. Chrome, Edge and Firefox versions of these downloaders all work slightly differently and you may find trying a different browser works.

@driftwood714 That's why I recommended C-NET, it's affiliated with the computer and tech website (which is a legit, serious news and tech review site) and therefore it's a very safe place to download. Some of the links might try to get you to go a 'mirror' site to download but you should be able to get what you want safely (virus free) from C-NET, unless the software is so old or no longer updated or some such. It will tell you version numbers and when last updated and the like as well!

There's no secret to changing providers, just take your phone to the provider you want and tell them that you want to change, they'll fix it for you. As for your current contract, most contracts that lock you is because your bought your phone with the plan, so for most you just need to pay whatever is left of the phone and you're good to go.

@sirtricksalo I'm poor so I'm using a hacked copy and my old video card, r9 200 series, to upscale stuff. DVD ratio's I get maybe 2 fps.Takes about 24 hours to do a full length DVD so if I want to do something longer than 8 hours, while I'm asleep basically, I have to export the movie as png files and I use Avidemux to recombine it into a video with the ripped audio. I've had some good results but man I wish I could upgrade my video card lol.Hopefully I'll get a new one by the end of this year. I upgraded my processor a couple of years ago so it usually only takes like an hour to load hundreds of thousands of png files into avidemux.

@lololulu19 If you have 3 screens I presume you are using this equipment at home - and not travelling with 3 screens. If so, why don't you just get a couple of mini pcs, or intel sticks to stick behind your screens (or TVs). They are cheap and will easily cope with 4K video, Plex/Jellyfin/Netflix, qbittorrent and watching chaturbate. With a Lan drive storage is not an issue - nor is sharing your files. You can control them all from your laptop. I have used these for 5 years and never had one fail. Even if they did it wouldn't be a real issue as nothing important is ever stored on them. Logins and passwords can all be synchronised using almost any modern web browser. Smart TV's have now caught up though and you could actually watch most any website like chaturbate on a Smart TV. The real reason you laptop gets hot is video encoding - and as noted by others - not something to which a laptop is well suited. Video encoding is very CPU/GPU intensive and so generates a lot of heat. In a laptop that heat is being generated in a tiny space that is difficult to cool. A tower PC would cope with this much better and cost a fraction of a $6,000 laptop. Of course, you also have the option of using a cloud hosted PC which would solve any location issues. Again they are not necessarily cheaper than using a comparable desktop/tower pc but can be a lot more convenient if you are wanting to look after just one pc - your laptop.

@b779a I haven't used Topaz but have seen results from others... and it does add sharpness, detail etc. the AI is able to guess what the existing (bad) video was downgraded from. so the answers above from 2020 saying no it's impossible, are behind the times.

It took me a whille to find a linux program to do this. I tried ffmpeg a few commands but no luck. Eventually I stumbled upon SMPlayer. It has an option to create a page of thumbnails. Or a 'thumbnail generator' in smplayer world.
