Reasons why a torrent may go "unregistered" (deletion from tracker) include: #1 DMCA takedown from confirmed copyright claim #2 Identified as a duplicate #3 Failure of an upload to be initially seeded to completion after about 1 week #4 Removal due to inclusion of banned material or claim of underage performers Occasionally the tracker itself becomes disconnected due to server/technical issues, but this will affect all torrents in a torrent client, not just one or two.

…and, if you go to upload something and find it in the system already, download the .torrent file, link it to the content on your hard drive and start seeding it

@MrMazda: I can assure you that having to remove the torrent and re-add it with the torrent file from the site is not a bug… This is because when you first create the torrent, in reality, you can use any tracker that you want to create the .torrent file. That being said however, when it is uploaded to the site, the system changes all the trackers on the .torrent file to match the tracker for GT.ru. Our system uses a passkey to identify which specific user that you are. As this value is different for each individual user, the system will automatically adapt the .torrent file to adjust the passkey to your own, which will NOT be contained in the original .torrent file, but can be found in the one downloaded from the site. Simply put, you need to re-download the .torrent file to seed the torrent after upload so that the system can properly track the torrent and attach the data values from upload and/or download to your correct profile. This is not something that can be done using the .torrent file that you create to upload the torrent itself. Off topic I know, but is this why scrape is disabled? Because we each have a unique tracker?

Another visit from the ghostly torrent thief  :afr: The mostly likely reason is that the site received a takedown message from a purported copyright holder and, bam, the torrent disappears. The only person to be told is the original poster who gets a message saying his torrent has gone (I know I've received several). If you strike lucky your download will complete before the torrent finally goes.

I would pass on the Ratio Lift torrents - the choice is so limited and the freeleech period is variable. Stick to the Freeleech list with torrents that have leechers and a decent freeleech period left

Dear fitoart, Yes, only in the first week (after upload) can a Video Presentation be edited by the uploader. I've edited all of these torrents for you. Please feel free to write the HelpDesk directly in the future, for issues such as this… Take care, Pawpcorn GTRU Staff

Popper, I suspect the servers will also have slowed down with all the messages thanking staff for all the work they are putting in.

@Popper: Yes, you got it right. Any new downloading peer got plenty seeds to download from and the one who is stable at a part will have disabled some files from download. The gap explains with the fact that your client will not connect to other seeder, because there is no need to exchange anything with them, like your client the other seeders got all files. Thank you for the reply, Popper.  I really appreciate it.  I knew that leecher had to have skipped something in the torrent.  Thanks for confirming it. That leecher is gone and the torrent is going strong, so the problem is resolved aries83

@Popper: The effect you described in the initial post of this topic is typical for torrent clients not being connectible. As soon as there are other seeds available which are connectible, the clients of downloading peers will be better and faster served by those connectible and (almost) nobody will need to download from the not connectible. So the not connectible is used as source only as long as he is the only source. There are plenty topics about this, just look in the Guides section of the Forum. That's odd because I was pretty sure I was connectible (connectable?). Anyway, I just want to confirm that using uTorrent definitely solved the problem. I've been seeding like crazy this afternoon.

At least now your numbers have considerably gown up … Are you sure it were 200 MB and not 200 KB? With uploading an own torrent a jump from 200 KB (from seeding back downloaded torrents with low demand) to 800 MB is very possible. The tracker adds upload and download to the totals. Negative delta between two announcements by your client are very unlikely (never seen that, except cheating clients and here for download only  >:D )

I wondered if the torrents are showing in uTorrent but just have no-one needing your connection. But I wouldn't worry about your ratio. You could download 4 times the amount you have already and still be within your ratio.

Indeed, the "folder within a folder" approach is what we'd be hoping for…
