Hey there, I got a question...
I uploaded a huge collection of clips from a special site and due to some technical problems I ended up losing the original files on my computer.
If I download my own upload will it count as a regular download or being my own it's like a freeleech? I do not want to stop seeding but I can't use my ratio on this!

      Thanks

@leo2003 I'm pretty sure it would count as downloaded content, even if you were the original source. (Someone who knows this stuff better than I do might want to weigh in here.)

I'm a bit confused, though, when you say you lost the original files but you don't want to stop seeding: If you don't have the files, how are you seeding them.

I know how frustrating it is to lose files.I hope you get over this hurdle soon.

@eobox91103 Hmmmm maybe I said it wrong? I am not seeding the files now, and I meant I want to have them again to start seeding again?

@leo2003 Ah, OK. Depending on the size of the collection and how much download buffer you have, you could set your torrent software to download some of the files (25% maybe?) and see how much they are then seeded out to other users. If they're popular, you might improve your ratio...and then you can download more.

@eobox91103 It's a huge collection, it's either a freeleech for me or can't seed it anymore. So I'll wait for some moderators to confirm what you said before deciding!

              Thanks

@leo2003 the download will be deducted from your ratio like any download, doesn't matter that you were the first seeder.

if the torrent currently have a low number of seeders you can request it to be freeleeched here in the forum or via the helpdesk.

if it has enough seeders, you're out of luck.

@ianfontinell-0 Thanks! It's supossed to have 36 seeders, so I guess the torrent is fine!

                  Thanks again
