Although the files do not actually get downloaded, the prefetch of the content where links are involved generates a false positive for files, even when they have not been downloaded. So you may want to check your browser extensions and add-ons to see if there are any that may be responsible for pulling page content ahead of it being clicked on by you as the user. If all else fails, try using a different browser for a few days to see if the problem goes away. If it does, then you can narrow it down to something about that browser specifically.

@eonflux The impact on the hydro (electric) bill isn't actually all that much. It's less than a $20 monthly difference. There's only ONE server, and that one's in the furnace room, but can only hold an OS drive, plus a single add on drive. The second one is also in the basement, but in a room I'm using as an office. It's actually setup as a workstation that I use for doing my business work. It just so happens that there's a bunch of spare hard drive bays in that machine, so there's currently TWO add ons (both of which are huge), plus the OS drive. The third one is in my bedroom, and it too is used as a workstation of a sort. It is connected to the TV in my bedroom so that I can do things I can't do with a fire stick alone. That one though is mostly used using Remote Desktop, but is there so that in cases where my laptop is not in my bedroom and actively connected to everything, I still have a way of streaming porn on the TV haha. Also, the tower that's in my bedroom is also only capable of handling an OS drive, plus ONE additional drive. I know I could use external drives, but my experience with external drives (especially when using them for torrent traffic) has been less than ideal, and I've found that using them as internal drives is way better for a few reasons.

the option "keep me signed in for" refers to the amount of time that this session must be kept active after you stop visiting the site from that browser. Each visit resets that timer. I also use Firefox, and so far I had only one situation where I was unexplicably kicked out and had to login again, and after that it never occurred again.

@fb1972 Well... Let's just say that there's a reason why my alter ego is "Poz Piggy". I get into most things piggy, though I draw a hard line at anything that involves scat play, blood play, or needles. I also have the connections to get my hands on most party favours. It all depends on the flavor you're looking for. On that note, I also should mention that if you're looking to go down that avenue, I have an extensive collection of either brand new or slightly used, but well kept (so as to still look brand new) devices I like to call an "oversized thermometer". I call them this because they look kind of like an old antique glass & mercury thermometer, only they're bigger, are hallow on the inside, and they have a hole in each end. If you know, you know. Whether or not you choose to partake in that kind of thing makes absolutely ZERO difference to me.
