Besides the upload amount and the time being member, Power User status requires a share ratio of 1.05 . It is taken away if the share ratio drops down to 0.95 . It does not require a share ratio of 1.5 or even 2.0+ … Up- and download on a tracker globally are balanced at 1.0 (in theory), on our tracker there is more upload, because of the exchanged Seed Bonus Points. Clearly if a member is "just" downloading torrent's files and then seeding them back, it will be difficult to get a share ratio over 1.0 , original torrent posters have always an advantage regarding share ratio.

What a bunch of whiny babies. Another thought: Jumping on is only possible to files which have been shared elsewhere already. uploading torrents for own genuine movie versions makes jumping on impossible. Exactly, so why is someone who obtained their copy of movie from someone/some place else claiming that it is THEIRS.  All of the stuff I upload, I obtain elsewhere on the net and if someone else has the exact same copy, I can't complain about them helping to seed the torrent.  It doesn't belong to me, not legally, not morally; no reasonable person would claim that. For people that live in industrialized countries and have slow upload speeds, here's a clue:  either fix your client/system settings or get a decent ISP.  Hell, there are hundreds (maybe thousands) of guys on here from third world countries will good upload speeds so there is no reason why most people shouldn't have a good upload speed.  You will always have ratio problems if you insist on using dial-up speeds.  I don't understand why the rest of us (who know how to fix our settings/have good ISPs) should be restricted.  If the admin/mods want to pander to these kind of people, then use some of NeoStrada's suggestions, don't penalize the rest of us.

Besides, it's just hetro action and obviously no one on here would be interested in fit sportsmen indulging in that.   I think you're joking but just to be clear, I would LOVE watching sportsmen involved in naughty behavior!  Please DO upload any and all torrents of this nature (drool!)!!

@Englishlad5: Guys, never uploaded a film onto Gaytorrent but want to. How do you do it please? There are different ways to upload a torrent and share the movies. It will depend mainly on the torrent client programme used. We have some guides with pictures in the Support forum Guides & HowTos section as well as an old upload guide which is accessible via the page which shows up when you click "Upload" in the blue band. There is quite some reading (certainly re-reading), so don't try it in a rush, do the first time on a day where plenty of time is available. Count for some hours for the first, later 30 minutes will do.

Your latest download is somewhat a better choice for the sake of ratio at least. BTW it is not your upload speed that is a potential problem it is torrent choices that you need to be aware of right now. To seed there must be leechers and if you choose a torrent with no leechers then you need torrents with leechers to make up the difference. You do have some cushion in your ratio ~ Download Buffer 8.18 GB (The Amount of Bytes you can download before Reaching your current minimum Ratio). Just be careful what you pick to download and you should be OK. You also have some cushion in your Seed Bonus Points (Total Seed Bonus 274.125) as well since they can be traded for upload credit. At this point I would let the SBP's build to 350 points for the best upload credit of 5GB. The 5 GB would be added to your upload amount thus improving your ratio. Because one of my test showed this : imagine i uploaded a torrent composed of only 1 file (an avi file 1GB) Then, a few weeks after, for testing, I modify 1 byte in the movie on my hard drive Then, re-download the initial torrent, what happens ? Only 1 block was rewritten on my HD (the block in the avi file where i modified 1 byte) and in a couple of seconds I was added as seeder   My question is then : is it so different if you add one pic to the DVD structure ? Well maybe you're right because, in my example, the movie lenght didn't change (modifying 1 byte in the avi didn't change the movie length) And a 2nd test I did, where I changed the movie length (by cutting a couple of frames at the very end of the avi file on my HD), then the re-download of the torrent forced the whole avi to be re-downloaded (that's compatible with what you wrote) So maybe the lenght of the movie(s) is a crucial point, concerning what will be downloaded (just a few blocks or the whole movie) I don't have enough knowledge to answer this, maybe you or our Mods/Admins do ?

I just noticed this thread as I'm slowly going over what I missed when I was gone. There is an old problem with the "Max entries" setting and selecting [all], don't do it. Browsers don't like all that. Use one of the other options or edit the url to receive a little more feeds than 100 if you'd like. Edit this part of the generated url -> http://tracker.gaytor.rent/rss.php?num=**100** I forget at which point the problem begins to occur, like how many feeds it takes to bring put firefox's fire out.

Hi again MrMazda. A newbie list might be handy, but perhaps that's covered already in the FAQ? I was thinking more along the lines of newbies wanting to announce "hey I'm here, this is a little about me, I'm looking forward to this, or I'm a little confused about that" - giving them an outlet to contribute once they join. Also to allow them to get help without any negativity (e.g. "heya mate, yeah it can be really confusing at first to work out uploads. Some guides have been written, and the links are below" versus "if you actually read the forum, you'd know it is here. And here. And here. Pffft!"). Feel free to PM me if you like - and yeah I can understand that I'm new and "unknown" here. There might be some users on here who know me from other boards who can vouch for how evil I am.  ;D

This may be all moot - my ratio went from 0.815 to  0.816 and that is with probably about  three fourth's of a day or more of only seeding- and I can't seem to figure out to upload an entire DVD file….... Perhaps it got off topic because of that blue mention and us trying to give advises. The most sad thing is, that currently we have no human resources available to do modifications on the main site and tracker, even not to re-introduce fixes for things which were already fixed before the February 2010 server issue. But basically I'd like to have normal users to see these torrents, too, to give them an incitive to strive to become a Power User (needs a share ratio of 1.05, 40 GB of upload and 30 days membership at this moment to get that status).
