I just wanna uphold my end of the website agreement You only download the .torrent file, as the .torrent file you get from the site will have the correct tracker information in it, which will identify your account to the system with your passkey. This is different from downloading the contents of the torrent. Since you're uploading the content, you only use the .torrent file with the content you already have to seed the torrent. By default, if the contents of the torrent are in the default folder for torrent downloads, it will go straight into seeding mode right away for you, without you needing to tell your torrent client where to find the contents of the torrent.

@MrMazda: For users who are having a problem with the SSL certificate, you may need to use the non-SSL tracker. To do this, change the beginning of the announce URL from: https://tracker.gaytor.rent/ to http://tracker.gaytorrent.tw:2710/ You can also make this change permanent in your profile using the "Profile" tab at the top of the page, and disabling the SSL tracker. I also use SurfShark VPN and this solution "solved" it. But for me it is more of a bypass than a solution. It lowers the security to disable SSL. Why is your HTTPS/SSL tracker the only one that does not work while using VPN. I have zero issues with other torrent sites….

If turning off the SSL tracker solves the problem, it is likely that your torrent client is choking on the SSL tracker. First, try closing your torrent client and rebooting your computer. If you still are unable to connect with the SSL tracker, you may need to change torrent clients, or simply leave the SSL disabled.

No… You can have multiple IP addresses on one account. You just can't use more than one account on the same IP address. With VPN users, it is not all that common to get falsely flagged. Proxy servers on the other hand are a different ball of wax, due to the difference in the way that they work.

FWIW: You need to make sure that the port that your torrent client uses is forwarded through your home router or VPN to your computer, both in TCP and in UDP. This is a critical, yet often overlooked step, which is necessary to be able to get upload traffic.

There are a few factors to take into account. One is that your torrent client only updates with the tracker once every 30 minutes per torrent. This can result in delays in stats showing up. What I'm seeing currently is that you are seeding and getting credit for it actively. Are you using a proxy server for your torrent client? Are you using a VPN? Lastly, for proper upload credit, you need to be sure that the port your torrent client is using is forwarded through your home network or VPN to your computer.

@Joker: yes.. you dont need to donate… also seeding your downloads or sometimes an upload is good support... i hate the "hit and runners".... Might I suggest a hit and run system similar to the one I have seen rolled out over at IPTorrents. When you download a file, you must do one of the following: Seed the torrent for at least 14 days Seed the torrent until you have reached a 1:1 ratio Zap the torrent in the hit and run system If you choose to zap the torrent, you have one of two options. Sacrifice a set number of SBP (I think it's 50 SBP per zap) Sacrifice upload credit equal to the amount of the torrent Also, it should be noted that with this system, if you build up too many hit and runs without dealing with them, your download rights get taken until you fix the problem. As long as you are seeding the torrent, the system does not bug you about the hit and run. It only shows up in the system when you are not seeding the torrent, and continuing to seed the torrent makes it disappear out of the system again. Once you seed it for 14 days or to a 1:1 ratio, or zap the torrent, it falls off your hit and runs permanently. Perhaps we should roll out a similar system?

You are seeding your torrents just fine. What I'm seeing however is that there are no leechers actively downloading any of the torrents. This is likely where your problem is coming in. I would be inclined to recommend trying some freeleech torrents.
