Thanks so much. Am trying to catch up after the Vuze fiasco

I know this is an old post but ive had this problem a few times before… and for some reason when i turn my VPN on the category dropdown shows up again. im in australia and i know the government has blocked all torrent and illegal streaming sites here but dont know if that has anything to do with it but using a VPN is the only way i get the category dropdown to work.

HELOOOOO!!!!! CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE??? Already contacted Helpdesk, but, as in this topic, no answers at all…

@bear1989: I think I've found the problem, or that or coincidence, but I noticed that among the files that had not been uploaded any had the character ' in the name, I also saw that when the client then tried to download that file, he did so a weird character instead. Therefore I have removed that character from the name of the files and I have uploaded it again and this time it uploaded correctly. I hope that someone with this problem will read this and can solve his problem in this way. That is/was exactly your problem. FYI, so give your future torrent names a good glance over for unusual characters in the type.  Glad you got it addressed.

Disabled DHT and local peer exchange and seems to be working now…

now im tryna search for high leechers uploads but most of them still have seeders anyways lol

Thanks very much for this complete and useful explanation! I use uTorrent, 3.5.5 so, according to this "tutorial", this client is OK. As I said before, the "lose" of some data might be only a impression of mine, since MBs aren't properly noticed in a GB traffic. Thanks again! Best regards.

@TopJock: But this is an issue. If a few well connected seed boxes are providing the majority of bandwidth then the majority of users will not be able to maintain ratios. I have to download a bunch of free leach that I don't even want to even try and keep my ratio up. Even with over 200 torrents seeding (in the past) my upload was pathetic. It would be cool if the entire site was made free leach for a few days, or everyone was given some extra gigs or points or the ratio requirements where lowered. This is an issue indeed..

@johnpduh: I was just asking how do you do it? You find the dead torrent re-download it and let it point to the desired file-location..
