@Playmate It is April 1 today and the snowflakes are finally gone! My issue with them is the javascript uses up most of the CPU on my computer, and if I leave the home page up while attending to something else my computer is almost unusable. Yeah it is an old underpowered computer. . .

Hi, There is a 50GB+ video torrent that has no thmbnails.
A user noticed I commented that I had made thumbnails for all this videos in order to answer some questions posted.

He asked me if I could post the thumbnails to help select the videos to download.

So my question is - can I create a torent that consists only the the thumbnail sheets for this other large video torrent? And if it is allowed can I post in the same category as the torrent they are referring to?

Hi, I don't know how many people still use IE, but the label on the permalink which lists the activity date in the upper right corner is missing.

Hi I was wondering if there was going to be a holiday free leach this year.

I had gotten several and reported them.  I just got an email that another PM was
just received from and address that seemed to be similar to the other SPAMS, and
I went to my PM box, and ALL the SPAM messages are GONE!

I guess the mods are stepping in. I am not 100% sure how I feel about them
messing with my saved messages though I can understand what they are doing
as well. . .

Minor bug in browse page.

In the browse page, if the picture selected is one of those tall, multi shot pictures the entire shot is shown in the browse page.  In the old page, it appears as if these overly tall pictures were trimmed to a reasonable height.

I really like the progress on the redesign!

I just saw the extended view on the search pages, and to me it seems to be the best of the search and browse features.

It works well for the way I use the site. I see some other proposed tweaks, and I will see how it all works out.

Yes something is going on - there are usually around 100 freeleech torrents daily

Yeah sometimes tapes are pretty much worn through or have
very bad sync problems.

But without good equipment and techniques even a pristine
tape can be RIP-d to a steaming pile!

I use what was then a high-end JVC SVHS deck which can stabilize
many tapes that are normally beyond hope.  I capture at a high
bit rate, using the S-Video connector to a very good Hauppauge
capture unit.  I try to get the initial contrast/brightness/hue
from the capture s/w.

I then import the capture into a freeware program called VirtualDub.
I fix up the overscan issues, tweak any more issues that are apparent,
and often have to fix the aspect ratio to the correct 4/3.

There is a limit to how much effort I will expend - on tapes where the
hue changes virtually every scene I just try to find a happy medium for
the entire tape. I don't want to spend the time correcting each scene.

I then save to a more friendly bit rate for posting.

There are limitations of the VHS format no matter how good the VHS rip is, but
here are three that I think are pretty good - I did RIP each of them, so I have
some bias, and I spend a lot of time of making them the best they can be, considering. . .

That torrent has no completed downloads, that is why the reseed request button isn't active.

(Further the shared file's content is on our banned list, so I've now removed that torrent)

when I just searched for dead torrents most of the first ones have no completions so

By default, the reseed button is disabled when there are 3 or more seeder who are seeding the torrent. I have seen some cases where there is a glitch and it is not working for torrents that have 0, 1, or 2 seeders, but this is an odd exception to the rule. Which torrent in question are you referring to?

I enjoyed using the picture browser occassionally in the past, and I thought it used my
saved categories as defaults.  This one appears to start off with all categories enabled.

I would like it if it started off with just my saved categories, becuase now the first thing
I have to do is expand the categories list, and then select my categories! 

Other than that, it is still something I will continue to use to explore.
