I was looking for a dead video this a.m. and I note that the request re-seed button is inactive for me.

Is this somehow related to my account, or is it off for everyone - if so why?

      Thanks - Mark

By default, the reseed button is disabled when there are 3 or more seeder who are seeding the torrent. I have seen some cases where there is a glitch and it is not working for torrents that have 0, 1, or 2 seeders, but this is an odd exception to the rule. Which torrent in question are you referring to?

          The specific torrent was https://www.gaytor.rent/details.php?id=a621c6c3f93d4a04eca3c72c00219918f6456bd59669ba89

But I did just a search asking for all dead torrents and the first
few I looked at had the button disabled

So are you seeing the button ok?

          Thanks - Mark

That torrent has no completed downloads, that is why the reseed request button isn't active.

(Further the shared file's content is on our banned list, so I've now removed that torrent)

Thanks for the reply I hadn't noticed there were no completed downloads, and sure enough
when I just searched for dead torrents most of the first ones have no completions so
that's why I wasn't seeing the button active. Thanks for your time.  - Mark

Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought when the torrent had no snatch list at all that it would look like it goes through the reseed process, but instead it comes up saying "Reseed Failed - 0 PM's sent"… Or is this only on torrents with a snatch count but no snatch list?

                  You are right:

1.) never a completed download registered by the tracker > request reseed button inactive (the case on the torrent here)

2.) a completed download was registered by the tracker, but the completed downloads list is empty > reseed request button is active, but when used the "Reseed Failed - 0 PM's sent" failure appears (typically the case when the last completed download was prior to 2013, because those are purged from the data base)

In case of 2.) making a PM asking for a reseed might help, because all members having made a comment and the original uploader (if still member) gets a PM notifying them that there was a new comment. Better alternative will be to Report that torrent as dead with empty completed list: Then staff can try to revive it (including making it freeleech, bumping and comment) and if that fails delete it.

Yeah… On that note, I have a question for you on that topic. I shall PM it and discuss it further.
