@cteavin This is probably because your ISP is super shady and has started throttling P2P traffic over their network as they are unable to distinguish the difference between legal and illegal P2P traffic. The only known way to get around this is to use a VPN so that your ISP sees the VPN session and not the P2P traffic within the VPN session. This type of traffic shaping is illegal in Canada without technical justification.

@ianfontinell You would need to put the VIDEO_TS folder into an outer folder with the video's proper name.

In order to be within the rules, make sure you do not upload just a VIDEO_TS folder. Place it in another folder that is named whatever the video is.

@cteavin: Hi, after the last upgrade in Catalina (OS X) Transmissions stopped seeding for this site, all other sites are working fine. I'm not sure how to trouble shoot this. Any suggestions? I'm having the same issue! I'm new to the site and none of my torrents are seeding. Tried to connect to IRC for help but that doesn't seem to be working either  :cry2:  Using Transmission 2.94 on macOS 10.15.1

A follow up to a prediction I made in one of my top news stories. Today, January 21 2018, the Turkish government invaded Syria - not to fight ISIS - but to fight Kurdish forces who are in theory their ally against ISIS.  While the USA has been arming both the Turks and the Kurds it is undecided whether the USA will try to get Turkey to stop.

@raphjd: The UK has the most CCTV cameras (not counting speed and red light cameras) per person of any country.   This is based on official government figures and doesn't include privately owned stuff. I guess people have not read the book "1984" by George Orwell.  People don't seem to mind "big brother".  I don't like cameras on me - especially when I'm in a restaurant.  I can picture someone in India sitting at a cubicle monitoring 20 feeds from a restaurant's cameras.

A well-studied group of people who have no native language was in Quebec. There's a large contingent of people whose parents are immigrants from countries that speak neither English nor French.  The language of the playground and school is French.  The parents want the children to speak English - to give them more opportunities in the USA - so they speak poor english around the children. So, the children don't learn a language that the parents are fluent in.  They don't get re-enforced in French.  They don't ever learn a fluent English.  They speak less than 1 language.

@raphjd: The BBC is pretty SJW.   Name any SJW talking point and they report it as fact.    They de-muslim stories whenever they can. I very rarely watch the BBC.. but they seem to be fair with Trump. The UK doesn't have free speech like the US does.    "Causing offense" is a crime in most of Europe. I don't get why the left would even be talking about this case, since they only support free speech they agree with.    You guys protest pro free speech rallies in the US.

We pretty much had this conversation, with different specifics, several times before. I'm gonna paraphrase RoyalCrown89;  "while I get what he's doing and agree to some degree, he should be a stoic figure and let others do the dirty work". That's not the person who was elected. People tried to change the way Jimmy Carter spoke because his accent was deemed by some as too "hillbilly" to be President.

@Mcjl: From what I understand a contract is a contract and X amount sets the terms of such contract.  I do know someone in the industry and when he went on his own. He HAD to pay out the remaining degrees of said contract. That is technically correct.. but there are major exceptions.  If it turns out the contract contains any stipulations that are not legal, then the entire contract is void.  For instance, there is a 24/7 streaming live webcam site similar to the "Big Brother" TV show.  The guys that live there are required to sign a contract that they will stay there for 6 months.  If they leave early, they have to pay $500.  If they don't leave on time, they are charged $50 per day.  However.. the contract is not legal even though it was drawn up by a lawyer.  Therefore it is unenforceable. Another example:  if someone signed a contract that stipulated they would sell someone their heart for $1 million.  That contract would also be void. In any contract involving porn, just try and enforce it.  A judge would throw it out of court.  That includes copyright issues.
