@andergarcia There are lots of things you can do together, out of the house, that don't have to be in groups. My ex and I used to, for example: picnic in the park - for no special reason go for long walks around the neighborhood (we used to walk our dog together) go to the beach (or lake or river)... late at night! We used to put our beach chairs in the surf and have long, deep conversations. Once, we lost track of time and didn't get home until close to 3AM! Drive - and play your own version of carpool karaoke (our rules were that we got to pick our own songs on the way there, but pick each other's songs on the ride home!) if you're into it, play a board-game or card game together (David loved to play Uno!) we had a noisy and busy household (6 of my kids lived with us!) - so, sometimes we'd get fast food and just park somewhere... stay in the car and eat our meal with just us... I don't know if you live (or sleep) together, but for David and I, we never ever - even in the midst of fights - went to bed without saying I LOVE YOU (although it was sometimes: I still love you!). Additionally, we never left the house without saying goodbye and I love you....

You just need to educate them. Don't be too hard, they just need to catch up. Find out how they like to learn (documentary, leaflet, book) and help them find the source. They probably don't know any other gay people. When they do, they'll realise it's not how they see it.

I have the Terra-Master 541 NAS.  It cost about £540.   I'm using 10tb drives and they are £300 each.   I also upgraded the RAM, from 8gb to 16gb for about £50.   It was a lot cheaper to buy it separately and do it myself than to buy it already upgraded.   A NAS is a mini-computer, so that's why it costs more than a storage system that really only needs RAM and power. Seedboxes, like any subscription  (except gyms), should continue for the full term, even if you request a cancelation.   Say you pay monthly, but you decide to cancel with 15 days left that you paid for, you should be able to keep using it for the remaining 15 days.   I currently use Seedbox Solutions for my seedbox. My husband works in Norway during the week, so he uses it so he doesn't have to pay for Norwegian tv.    I have TV, movies, and porn on there.   He also uses my Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts, as well. We have 3 TVs and various other devices that we can view videos on, so a single storage device is so much easier.   No carrying around external HDDs to watch a movie upstairs.

@raphjd: I usually do hardware stuff, but I also do QC for software. I DO NOT code.  It makes my head hurt. Anyway, the toughest job is always dealing with people and trying to convince them of something, if they have something else in their heads. One example is when I was QCing a software package.  The workflow was all crap, but the software looked nice.   The devs refused to move the buttons and whatnot to make the workflow actually flow because they spent ages making it look all nice and shiny as it was.   Anyway, the company put out the crap so it could come out right away, but did all the fixes I said over the next year. I stopped doing IT because the pay is so low.  Even with low prices, it was like pulling teeth trying to get people to pay. As for the actual IT work, the hard work is trying to get old hardware to work.  In fact, I think the biggest near disaster I almost had was at a doctor's office.  They wanted their system upgraded - not replaced.  Their system was using an OLD ESDI hard drive that contained all their software and data.  The doctor was too cheap to pay for a new system.  It was a nightmare to find parts that would work in that antique computer.  Even after I performed a miracle for that doctor.. and made his system 7 times faster.. he stiffed me out of $1300.  A few years later, that doctor was arrested and his medical license was taken away.. so… karma caught up with him.  Often, commercial business use proprietary software that ONLY works with specific hardware - so they have to keep using ancient hardware to use with the software they paid $50,000 for.  One place was using ancient 8" floppy disks that stored just 80K  (not to be confused with 5.25" floppy disks).  3.5" floppy disks originally held 720,000K  (720mb) and eventually were able to hold up to 2,880,000K (2.8 mb).  80K is roughly equivalent to a thousand paper punch cards!  I typically use 8TB drives now.. which hold  8,000,000,000K.  So, one of my current drives can store 100,000,000 8" floppy disks..  Anyway, their computer was so slow, it took 10 hours to run their payroll.  Even at the time, their entire payroll on a state of the art computer would only take 10 seconds to process.  On today's computers, it would be done in less than 1 second.
