@ja32: @farkme: i think the user is only suggesting this because hes uploaded less then 10% of what hes downloaded I have been seeding all of my torrents all the time. It's not my fault no one's downloading them. Even if you're not successfully uploading from files you're seeding, you obtain seed bonus points by having them seeded. If you click your seed bonus points in the top right corner of just about every window, you will be automatically directed to the area of the website where these points can be exchanged for a number of things. This includes upload, which will bring your upload up, without the need to donate to the website. Alternatively, you also have the option of uploading a torrent, which should help resolve the issue more quickly.

But the site started only some months earlier, early in 2006. We don't have an exact date though any longer - so we set the 1st April as GayTorrent.ru's birthday (nope, no april joke ). At least that is the date where we tried to have a birthday party in the last years @blackdid: Btw, Admins were very tasty in their movies choice when they embedded the logo : I remember how much I like(d) the kind of movies they embedded, thinking each time I saw a new one : "What? Gaytorrent.ru AGAIN ! Those guys are GREAT !!!"   Thanks. I found that logo in the German version of QaF and was really surprised how many episodes I found on the net (those years ago) with that embedded logo. It also shows, that this kind of advertising was a good idea - it brought the idea to learn about torrents and get the videos directly from the site (and I'm still proud that I can now say: "our site"). @blackdid: Though it's very hard, today, to imagine GT without you in it… blushes @blackdid: Now we want Tom back and read his posts again ! Million thanks to the staff member who immediately did the job for me, adding "blackdid - enjoy" in my 14 torrents. If I'm not mistaken, this staff member should be Uwe or Junior (as they were online a few min ago) or our great Admin Mgr (you never know when he's online !) But I'm sure any staff member would have been as kind as them, only on GT you'll find such great people, believe me. Thx family  :hug2:

LOL - I just had to search through my to-do lists to find that topic again. Alas it is not really simple - we could forbid the http:// textstring (or replace it with hxxp:// automatically - but this  :cens: word list is unconditional and does not allow exemptions for our own servers - not taking in account that the automatic link function is a complex function (alas not even in a single place but distributed among a couple of different source files ) a first test two years ago convinced me that this function is not a good solution for our forum.

Dear 778939 Thank you to bring our attention to these to descriptions with the torrent file missing. Please read the second post of that topic > http://community.gaytor.rent/index.php?topic=9496.0 to understand what can be done. Basically we need the Original Poster or a member having the same hash torrent file to volunteer to reupload it. I'll start with contacting the OP.

@beercan: Atm get him to upload something (subject to mod approval) if he hasn't done so already then you can gift seeds to him. preferably something hawt and steamy  :xpl: This would be a double win for him.  He could get the SBP you are wanting to give him plus some from other members I'm sure and he would get the seeded traffic from sharing to help boost his ratio(if he needs it). As an added note, if he(she) has never uploaded to our tracker before and can do so with no moderator help, I will give him 50 - 100 SBP with my first time uploader program.

@raphjd: I get the 403 error and I'm using Chrome and FireFox. All you have to do it get past it is to refresh the page. Thank you very much man if you don't tell about refreshing page i never across this solution for my mind.

@cumeaternc: All banned Lucas videos are no longer available for new leechers.  What videos are you commenting about?  Please provide links if you have them. they still are .. because the hidden paramater for ModsOnly category isn't applied to the hompepage top {most wanted} list. @Hier0nymous: These films are still live here. I have tried really hard to prevent people from being caught out. Admins/mods: can you PM everyone currently seeding/leeching and tell them to stop? this function is not implemented {yet}, sorry. it would be hard to PM every connected user manually. i changed the torrent's title to attract their attention to read comments, but many of them don't seem to worry/care…

If someone thinks it is worth to redo the complete calculation (because only regarding the next step is not enough, especially in the lower steps), please let me know. Up to now I've got the impression that only some (countable) few members are really aware of the rationator rules - how else can you explain the countless complaints about still having taken away their download rights although "Your warning said I need a minimum ratio of 0.2" while their download traffic in the meantime rose from 1.2 GB (at the time of the warning) to more than 25 GB when they complain?

I think unless the uploader said something NOT to share at other places, it will be OK if you mention that you got it elsewhere and thank the uploader without to mention who it was. That is a compromise between mention the uploader name (not all like that their nick is mentioned on the web) and not thanking at all. Personally I a very happy if I see my encodings uploaded somewhere and it's mentioned by the poster that he got it somewere else. Like raphjd, I don't like my nick being mentioned.

If you are at friends place and they have an account already that can be detected by our tracker as a dupe…..then why not say to your friend "Hey go to gaytorrents.ru, I want to show you something?" Logic would state that IF you are not downloading anything then why risk being flagged as a dupe account to "show" a friend something?  All members can see the same information on this tracker with the exception of AA users.  They can see one other part of our forums that non AA users cannot. If it is a PM you have received that you want to show a friend then forward it to them when you get home.  ::) I don't know the exact statistic but I would wager to say for every 1 "innocent" dupe account detection there are probably 10 "guilty" users who are just to lazy to keep their ratio in order and try to cheat the system. :police: As a moderator or admin it also makes it hard to see your point of view when we review accounts flagged as dupes and BOTH account histories are littered with low ratio warnings or dl rights have been taken away.

I know this is an old post but it may be worth mentioning that media player classic that comes with the k-lite codec pack will make a contact sheet for videos also.

@enamo: I'm glad I'm not alone in wondering how 4 billion snatches happened. So are we - it is a couple of client programs (especially multi protocol clients) which do not follow the BitTorrent protocol. That is why we urgently warn to use such "wannabe" programs and only recommend capable client programs. Alas it is not really easy to filter out such wrong protocol messages on our side
