I tend to look at it in the way that people looked at Kevin Spacey in recent years. I know, I know, Spacey was found to be not guilty of the allegations and AW was found guilty, but bear with me. At the time there was a definite movement to boycott his works and cancel him entirely, but in doing so you would also lose great performances from many others who were totally unrelated to the claims against him. I have always found him deeply unattractive and have no desire to see him on screen, but at the same time he has made videos with many other popular porn actors. It would be a shame to lose their performances because they appeared with him. Torrenting a performer's videos doesn't benefit or support them. If anything it probably does the opposite. I would suggest that if someone's personal feelings compel them to erase his existence from their world then by all means do so, but I see no reason to ban his videos where he appears with performers who are legal and well-known in the industry.

When in a hurry I like to filter out the search with a similar list , -av1 -ai -enhanced -starlight -omegle etc then when bored ill browse without the filter , like freeleach - the av1's can be a handy way to resurface random stuff I may not have seen yet that is popular as someone put the effort in to recode / freeleach

@taboi two things: this site is waaaay bigger than GTO, and also waaay more understaffed. There's no way that anything can be resolved here by simply making rules more strict, the only immediate result would be an even bigger flood of non-compliant uploads. The new QTM is long due, if done properly it can help fix most of the existing problems. It would be possible to automatically generate previews and build a hashfile database that can be used to cross-reference duplicates. This way it would be possible to prevent duplicates from being uploaded in the first place, reducing the reports and freeing staff to focus on other stuff. A NLP could also be deployed to flag missing/incomplete torrent descriptions, and allow for users to fill in the details, instead of having to rely strictly on mods that will only act if something is reported.

@mftan2191 vtx files are created by VTM, the application used to create the thumbnails, it's just a cache file that stores metadata about each processed video. Although the vtx files are essential to generate the thumbnails using VTM, it's possible to configure the application to discard them after the images are generated. As for torrents containing those files, you can either delete after download (their size is negligible) or mark them to not be downloaded in the first place. Even though qbittorrent doesn't allow to sort by extension, it has a name filter feature. In the "add new torrent" window you can press CTRL+F and type .vtx and then uncheck those files.
