Do you actually have a torrent client programme on your computer? Install µTorrent (or another) and then open the downloaded file with it. µTorrent will then start downloading the actual movie file. You get here only very small .torrent files, which you have to understand as a kind of link to the tracker and to identify you, the files and the torrent to download.

I am still thinking what to try next … Update: With that change of ISP, did you change the internet security suite, i.e. to the ISP bundle including Norton? With the changed DNS setting, can you retry the ping, what does it give? Still time out?

This is a typical issue with µTorrent 3.4.1 builds and as far as we see not limited to GayTorrent.ru. At the moment the best would be you downgrade to version 3.3.10, 2.2.1 or try the latest stable build of µTorrent 3.4.1, which might include a solution for this issue.

It worked and I have lit a candle in your honour! :cheesy2: @Popper: You must have changed a default download behaviour setting of Firefox for files with the extension .torrent … In Firefox > Tools > Options > Applications > in the list with file endings, change select "use other" for files with .torrent and then select µTorrent from the list of applications (instead of "save")

DHT, Local Peer Discovery and Peer Exchange not being allowed is normal. This is a private tracker which is for peers from the tracker only. The "updating" to continue isn't normal, though. That can have multiple reasons. First thing to try is to stop the torrent, wait a minute and then restart it in your µTorrent. It might as well help, if you upgrade or downgrade your µTorrent in case you use the version 3.3.20 or 3.4.1 to other builds of 3.4.1 or to 3.3.10. These two versions show random issues with a few torrents. Or if you use an early version of µTorrent 3.x series, upgrade at least to 3.3.10 . If that doesn't help, contact the Helpdesk indicating the link to the torrent's page on GayTorrent.ru . When you are longer member and got higher download and a good share ratio (means high upload) the daily number of .torrent file will increase quite fast.

The Torrent Moderators have as first priority task to help uploaders of unseed new torrents to get them seed. Unfortunately not with a high success rate. Despite the efforts, we "loose" about 1/3 of all uploads as never being seed. There are only very few new torrents which are started to be seed, but then not completed. These less than 1% have a very special follow-up. So those members who try to upload, but don't get it seed at all, at least try to upload and don't do much harm (a .torrent file deducted from the daily limit of member who should be aware that he risk the seeding won't start), which is more than the majority of members do. GayTorrent.ru is set-up in a way that many members who won't upload on other trackers will try it here for the first time, so we must try to teach them how that works. Members could help in this task by making pictured upload guides for different torrent clients. For example Transmission on Mac OSX or GNU/Linux, or again Vuze with Mac OSX or GNU Linux etc … To a technical point in your post, "0 (1)" in seeds in your torrent client means there is one seed, but your torrent client isn't connected to it. "0 (0)" can appear if the torrent is queued, not started, i.e. doesn't get peers information from the GayTorrent.ru tracker or it is not seed at all. I've looked through the torrents you currently download: 3 seem to download normal 2 are uploaded by a member not stopping to add new torrents before having completed the upload of the previous. In addition not seed 24/7. He has been ask to stop adding new until the others upload is completed. Clearly that member miss the 24 hours rule when uploading more than 1 new torrent 1 is an old torrent seed only by a single member seeding hundreds of other torrents and it is difficult to get a connection to his client having other torrents in higher priority. However, he really seeds them and you can eventually complete the download. 1 is an old recycled, which had a seeder at the moment of promotion, but this seed stopped. It can get back any time. 1 only is a new torrent not seed at the moment. That torrent has been deleted on the request of it's owners or he agent of the owner alleging copyright infringement.
