and since I want to UPLOAD to recover my ratio, it's best to have all the file. A small point: you don't need all the files to UPLOAD. Your torrent client will pass on what stuff you have got. However if you don't download all the files it will forever show as downloading on this site and you can't vote in the category. And you would need all the files if you ever wanted to reseed the torrent.

Did you then change back to http://… ? Actually I wanted you just to change and change back the announce URL to get it newly resolved. To make https working, you'd needed to remove the ":2710" from the tracker announce URL and use the ".ru" top level domain (.tw wont work with https).

Who says that it isn't wise to download with only 1 or 2 seeders? It really depends: a) If they are old, they might download slow. As well, it's unlikely you will have someone any soon to download it, too. So seeding back data will take long and you need to have a buffer to effort the wait time. However once there is eventually another downloader, you'll make good upload. b) If they are new, it is even recommended to jump-on as early as possible (means 1 initial seeder only). This increases the chances to seed back. Somehow torrents in the initial phase work like a pyramid system. Early joiners win later loose.

@cannonmc: Not that I know although some files are said to be viewable as you download - never tried it. That is why it is so helpful if people provide some good pictures when they post So true about the pix but provided the uploader post the right pix of that file (although this is a very isolated case but still)

@noelburgundy: I'm experiencing the same problem. The new downloads are not working for me; They get stuck on [Finding peers 0.00%] I'm wondering why that is or what's causing it. Is it the same hardware failure or something else? I also notice that in gaytor.rent, it does not recognize me as a seeder, yet there are a few torrents here that I got from this site that are still seeding just fine, according to my uTorrent. Sorry about double-posting, but there was a suggestion above the last response I made in the thread. I tried it. It actually worked. It might be some caching or something; can't be sure.

@junior: I just wised some would realize that were just human and volunteering our free time on here.   We could be spending time with out loved ones instead.    I also wished they would realize that sometimes we take time off, so those duplicate reports may have to wait. Good point… Not that we would need to do things like take more time in bed instead of in front of the computer as to be able to recover from crashing a car into a concrete pole at 60km/h... I'm not sure it is a foolproof method but I have found that those still in freeleech have the time left under the listing in Search. Those where the Freeleech is over just say 'Freeleech'

Yes, the leaked passkey has effected your share ratio. That is why I had disabled the download rights to stop further downloads. Unfortunately there is no track of history details, so it can't be sorted what was others' downloads with your passkey and what yours.

I think you're confusing the .torrent files with the actual torrent's contents. In order to open the .torrent files on an Android device, I would recommend first going to the Google Play store and downloading uTorrent for Android. In order to properly seed torrents from your android device, you may need some special provisions programmed into the wireless router your phone is connected to, otherwise, it would be your mobile data carrier you would need to consult if your android is not directly connected to the internet when using mobile data. I would however caution against the use of uTorrent for Android while on mobile data, at least until you verify what your mobile data rates are with your carrier. Within North America, mobile (cellular) data is rather expensive and seeding or downloading torrents is rather data intensive, especially if you're downloading entire DVD images. Once you have downloaded and installed uTorrent for Android, you should be all set to open the .torrent files to be able to start downloading their contents. I would caution you as a new user though that your ratio is important, so starting off with the correct selection of torrents is critical to ensuring that you start out on the right foot. As a general rule, downloading of freeleech torrents is a good way in which to download without having to worry about it affecting your ratio. Aside from that, I would recommend that you read our Suggestions for Newbies thread as well as our Guide for Starters in the forum. You may find these useful in helping you to get off on the right foot.

It would seem that you have downloaded two torrents today, so I'm at a bit of a loss to explain exactly what is happening here. When you click the torrent, then go to the "Trackers" tab, do you notice an error message by chance?
