On another torrent site, the TORRENT links often don't load, but they provide both a TORRENT and MAGNET link, and the Magnet links work.  I honestly don't know what a Magnet link is.. but they work.

I've experienced for years that either the upload succeeds (if it is a relatively small video file) and then some sort of error meesage or if it is a bigger file taking very long to upload it times out with another failure message. Sorry, don't remember the wordings of the failure messages, don't do that often  >:D

Had that problem once and it was because of a corrupt video file. Once I replaced the file everything worked fine.

As much as it is not really recommended in some ways, there is another way in which to get around this with Vuze…. Just don't use the SSL tracker. For some reason, it's only the SSL tracker that causes this kind of error. There are two different tracker styles that we have. Their Announce URLs start as follows: SSL: https://tracker.gaytorent.ru/…. Non-SSL http://tracker.gaytorent.tw:2710/…...

Uploading a torrent doesn't really depend on your platform except I believe you won't be able to use Quick Torrent Maker. But doing a manual upload is really quite simple and involves just four basic steps: create torrent file (I use uTorrent for that uploading it to this site downloading the torrent you just uploaded opening THAT downloaded torrent in your torrent client pointing it to the file you created it from Adding picture(s) and some information is simple if you just follow the steps in Upload/Manual https://www.gaytor.rent/doupload.php If you get stuck or go wrong, you can edit or delete what you've done. Or ask for help. Good luck

I think the problem that you're having is actually a problem with the default settings in Vuze. This is part of why I say that Vuze is the devil's tool. Anyhoo, if you really do want to use Vuze, I think you might want to give this forum thread a try as it outlines the #1 flaw with uploading a new torrent in Vuze.

Could you try to manually update the tracker. Perhaps as well restart the torrent client?

There is a rather common misunderstanding. Yo do not have to download the movie file, but only the small .torrent file. You can get the .torrent file, when you add it to your torrent client, you must direct the download to the directory (folder) where the movie file is located. The other option is to place the movie file in the default download directory of your torrent programme, means where torrent downloads go first, before you add the torrent to your torrent client. Both ways make the torrent client find the movie file and avoid it trying to download the movie file. See our reseed instructions > https://community.gaytor.rent/index.php?topic=6539.0

Just a couple of small points: I have seen more posts about problems with QTM than about uploading manually (and I've tried and failed with earlier versions of QTM). I don't understand the comment about removing the created torrent from uTorrent. It isn't there. There will be a torrent in the chosen file's folder unless you save it elsewhere. But this is not a worry, uTorrent ignores torrent files when checking. The only place where the created torrent is used is in the upload process to this site. I agree that the most common mishap for first time uploaders is not downloading their own uploaded torrent and using that to open it on their machine. But once you have done your first manual upload, the rest are so simple, with no extra software needed. PS I do wonder sometimes if people realise that uTorrent creates yet another torrent file, usually in a folder C:\Users_'myfolder'_\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent as soon as you open a downloaded torrent file - check it to see how many old torrents might be hiding there - I have about 100 despite clearing it regularly

I noticed another problem with the program before. I was uploading a collection and one of the files was bad. Instead of returning an error QTM uploaded the torrent, but it was unusable with uTorrent saying there was no hash pieces if I remember correctly.

The relevant parts of GayTorrent.ru's Terms of Service on the Rules page: (…) Users may not use this site to distribute any material when they do not have the legal right to do so. It is the responsibility of each user to adhere to these terms. (...) So if you have got a PM which said that a torrent was removed due to alleged copyright infringement and you didn't made a counter notice, GayTorrent.ru has to assume you had not the legal right to distribute the torrent's file(s). Then when re-uploading it again you are exposing yourself to: (…)  We have a policy of terminating, without notice and without recourse, accounts of users who are repeat infringers of site policies, based on our sole judgement of suspicion or notification we may receive. (...) Actually we, the moderators, are instructed not to answer questions regarding copyright and DMCA related questions, but to direct them to write to the Helpdesk under the DMCA/Copyright category. Therefore my citation from the Rules page, pointing to their relevant parts.

I had that problem on a machine running MS Vista. Had to run as an administrator as well and even then sometimes I had to run it once and get the error, then close it out and run it again.

:hug2:Yes, ratio points (via seeding) is strictly a result of your Torrent Client program (in your case, uTorrent) and it's communication with our Tracker Server… It has NOTHING to do with your browser IFAIK. It's important too, to remember not to stop your torrents, even when they are shown as being offline, because... when they become "online" again... this is when the torrent data (ie download and upload data count) gets reported to our tracker server, which in turn reports this to our website. If you STOP your torrent, when the torrent is offline, it's most likely that ANY and ALL of the data statistics accumulated since the most recent successful (online) data info exchange... will be lost. I have seen our Sysop give this advice for years (without explanation), and I'm pretty sure THIS explanation is exactly why he repeats this advice again and again... And I pass it along... with explanation. hugs,  Pawpcorn GayTorrent.ru Staff

Hi colin, thanks for sharing. The usual reason for your problem is that you didn't download your own torrent and start the seed. You need to download the torrent you posted, then open that as you would any other torrent. When your torrent program asks where to save it, you point to the exact file on your hard disk that you made the torrent from. Don't worry, it won't overwrite, it will check that the file is the right one and then start seeding
