@jjazz44 Eight months ago I installed NordVPN and it totally blocked my torrenting client Transmission. I wrote to them and got a quick answer saying that they don't implement port-forwarding “for security reasons” but that they seriously think about it for the future… I then asked for a refund, which I obtained some days later.

@MrMazda to be honest at this point I don't even think I'm going to worry about it. I see this site dying a slow death. Almost every torrent of content I upload gets removed within hours. So guess this will all just become a waste of time.

@MrMazda Hey. Yeah it was just on screenshot, I corrected it after. It wasn't it. Even worse - after I managed to upload it, next time I got the issue again... then I simply tried again and there was no issue. So it wasn't even folders. I have no idea now honestly and just gave up.

@nix54 This sounds like a port forwarding issue. Our tracker is very sensitive with port forwarding for some reason. In order to get proper upload traffic all the time, you need to make sure that the port your torrent client is using is forwarded through your home router or VPN to your computer, both in TCP and UDP. Without this, you will notice the exact symptoms you seem to be having. If it's of any help, your current torrent client is reporting that it seems to be using port 63357.

@Gasparzinho The fact that you can make seedbonus yourself is already a big thing. It's a currency, you can buy very useful things to boost your ratio, as well as give it away for others. Older members usually have A LOT and they're the ones spending it to make good stuff freeleech or just straight out give it to others. New members on the other hand value it so much that they don't use any at all. But in the end that's the way things are. They can't just make seeding a seedbonus machine because it's an actual currency, "printing" it indiscriminately will just make it less valuable so you'll need copious amounts to actually benefit from having it.

@honesteagle 800MB is really easy to get if you just upload your own torrent, you should definitely do it. If you upload a 1GB compilation and a single person download it, you have fixed your ratio already.

@ludenner If it's not you in the torrents, then it is subject to DMCA enforcement. Not being a professional doesn't mean you're not in the right to have your content protected from piracy. You can act on your own behalf or have a company do that for you instead. For instance, when you join a platform as a partner, such as PornHub Community, Onlyfans, Cam4 and so on, they are entitled to act on your behalf regarding to DMCA enforcement, and they have various companies specialized in the matter doing it on their behalf. You might find amateur and even professional videos on platforms such as pornhub, xvideos, xhamster, etc. Try downloading such videos and upload them in here... You'll see that some of it will get deleted real quick. Those sites have different agreements with various of those distributors that allow them to have copyrighted material legally by paying royalties based on viewership. Long story short, there's nothing YOU can do. What GayTorrent can do (and it does) is require that filed DMCA complaints prove a torrent is copyrighted and that they are in fact entitled to act on the copyright owner's behalf. And a friendly reminder: If you have so many of your torrents deleted due to DMCA you will be restricted from uploading anything for 3 months, be careful.

@gaycatking I advise you to not to that. Try contributing with other content. If you're hit with too many DMCA strikes in a short time you will have your upload privileges taken for 90 days.

@bskdu Hi there, welcome to the site. My guess here is not that you have a technical issue, but that you may have downloaded only older torrents. It's a common issue here with new users who search for their favourite actors or studios and find a lot of content to download. This site has a huge turnover in content, with hundreds of torrents being uploaded daily. With that amount of new content older torrents, and by older I mean from a few weeks to a few years old, tend to attract very few downloaders. At this moment there's about 268,000 active torrents on the site, but only about 18,000 of these have at least one leecher, which illustrates the problem pretty well. Check the torrents you have downloaded and see if they have any leechers. My guess is that they probably don't.

@john32123666 said in My torrent got taken down: Simply because I prefer the old layout w/c has nothing to do w/ It's not about layout. It's about accurate information. The "rules" you posted were not accurate. If you want to use the old layout for yourself, that's your own business. But if you post things for other members to see, please make sure they match what is on the current, live website.
