@warpaint: I think I'm ok. Being attractive hmm… Well I think it comes to girls. A girls can be pretty and know how to do make up and look elegantly. Then she looks really good and have a good appearance overall. You just won't say she's ugly. For guys all those things come away. He can change by making haircuts, clothes or having more muscle. But to guys attractiveness comes to depend on different tastes. This is just me but there can be a girl that passes you and everyone (even me being gay) will say she's attractive. A guy might not be someone's cup of tea though. Their attractiveness is mor individual. So being a pretty girl would of course help in life. As for me. I COULD be more attractive, of course. But I still hit someone tastes. Not always someone who I return the favor, but there were some great guys who actually liked my "type of beauty". For me it's important that I look on my older pics and everytime I'm getting at more and more what I want to look like. So there definitely is a progress. Progressing..  ::)

It's just the era that people are raised in. Back in the 40's/50's/60's, homosexuality was seen as extremely taboo and was never a topic people felt comfortable to talk about openly. Gay people had to basically keep it to themselves. As time went on, people are being raised in more 'tolerable' environments. Religion is dying down a bit (which played a huge role on how people viewed others who they perceived to be different), people are getting more educated, schools and organizations are embracing different sexualities and diversity, and there's less pressure for people to conform to the 'norm'. In other words, people just don't give a s*** anymore and aren't scared of being their true selves

@nature1490: I went hiking in a state park when I was a teen and had a cougar scare me.  I lowered slightly (never looking it in the eyes) and it used me for a pillow. I think that experience is one that I should have likely died from. lucky of you. if you meet animal like tiger lion wolf dog or leopard, they always keep distance of human, so don’t worry, move slowly away, don’t look its eye. look its eye will make it angery. if you meet wild boars or antelope you need run and find a tree climbing

It takes a lot of practice i'm sure. Perhaps first is emotional awareness. how often are we aware our emotions are escalating/intensifying. Not something they teach in the american educational system. Then when we have experience being aware of our emotional dynamics, then we can better control/manage them. Or anothe option is to just repress them all and not feel anything…..
