@nordicblue: @LEVI: What is interesting is the could rule that the states have the right to restrict granting marriage license to same sex couples, however, they don't have the right to not recognize a same sex marriage performed in another state. The court  asked the parties to brief these two questions: Does the Fourteenth Amendment require a state to license a marriage between two people of the same sex? Does the Fourteenth Amendment require a state to recognize a marriage between two people of the same sex when their marriage was lawfully licensed and performed out-of-state? Other states do not have recognize anything from another state.  California does not even recognize the fact you have paid state tax in another state thanks to the multistate compact.  California requires you pay California state tax in addition to the other state in even if you are incorporated in another state.  California does not recognize driver's licenses from other states either.  Washington now allows recreational use of marijuana, but that does not mean you will not get in trouble if you are a Washington resident smoking pot in another state.  The main point here is marble cake federalism.  http://www.apstudynotes.org/us-government/vocabulary/chapter-3-american-federalism/ The States were given sovereignty over many things to prevent the federal government from becoming too powerful.  The states can in fact refuse to recognize other states laws. California does recognize driver's licenses for other states, however, if you become a legal resident of the state you do have to obtain a California license and that is true in all states. The time frame is usually thirty days. If you are just visiting the state you do not have to obtain a California license, your license from your home state is valid. Your comparing one state legalizing the recreational use of marijuana to another state not legalizing it to gay marriage is absurd. With the passage of time when have devolved/evolved from a union of 50 country states to a country of 50 states.

This is ridiculous. She probably lost custody because the court found her to be unstable. Hey, her husband was interested in guys and contemplating leaving REGARDLESS of whether or not same-sex marriage was ever legalized or possibly legalized. What about all of us who have never been married yet who might marry someone of the same-sex if possible? Who are we hurting? This woman just wants to rationalize her homophobia.

@RectalTemp: @groovedware: I remember thinking that I was going to be warlock because that's what Uncle Arthur was and though at the time I didn't distinguish between character & actor I knew Paul Lynde was "my people".  Watching Match Game I also knew Charles Nelson Reilly & I had something in common. Those were definitely 2 of my television favorites.  Then, don't forget about Tony Randall from "The Odd Couple" (…and "Pillow Talk" with Rock Hudson and Doris Day).  Although, Tony Randall went to his grave claiming that he was heterosexual. I didn't forget Tony Randall, I think his claims were spot on  :cheesy2:  The Odd Couple did peak my interest but in the same way that Bert & Ernie did. Oddly enough Thomas Middleditch was on Conan last night raving about Paul Lynde and my gaydar was stumped, I never thought of him as a friend of Dorothy but he acted out his favourite Lynde bit ! What do you say when a woman falls off a ship?  Full steam ahead. which made me wonder about his sexuality. I do know he seems a lot funnier on the talk shows than on Silicon Valley. There is not any deception.  If you actually watched the trailer or the show, then you would understand.  The name was obviously created to evoke a response.

Let's talk about "white supremacy" in the UK. For 50 years, politicians, police, social workers and the media conspired to keep the victims silent about the muslim rape gangs. We even had a female muslm MP Naz Shah say;  “Those abused girls in Rotherham and elsewhere just need to shut their mouths. For the good of diversity.” Another MP (Robin Cook, I believe) was kicked out of the Cabinet for quoting one of the muslim rapists, saying that white girls are trash to use and throw away. Then-Prime Minister Gordon Brown sent a memo to all the UK police departments telling them to keep the rape gangs secret for diversity, in about 2009. The UK government did an extremely long and expensive review of the muslim rape gangs, but have kept it secret because they claim it's not in the public interest.
