Japan, anyone? Never been there myself, but its reputation is a well-known fact. And considering the amount of the population it has, that's an achievement for a nation.

@flozen: Why even respond to a post from 2014? There have been a million "happy country rankings" since then, and in any case, many are poorly researched, even arbitrary. Related topics doesn`t have a logic apparently

I am also impressed that they can do so much with so little.  They are a superpower, while other countries with more land and natural resources can't ever hope to produce as much as they do.  Rock on Japan!  :cheers:

I had no idea how awful the situation in Guyana is. Life imprisonment? That's terrible. I hope people in these countries avoid being caught.

@portokall: Good work! Prevention is better than cure! Prevention of what exactly? The abstract seems to suggest a correlation between neuroticism and sexual dysfunction - it doesn't talk about prevention or cure.

I think the truth lies in genetics and environment in the womb. You can have a certain genetic makeup but hormones in the womb can prevent your genetics from fully working.

What we always knew to be true turns out to be true, according to a study. Sometimes science feels somewhat superfluous.  

I think Jeeps are gay because they are too cute.  Gay cars tend to be non-functional (have more bits and bobs than necessary) as opposed to having a functional no nonsense style car.  Really expensive trucks seem like a compensation mechanism.  The Jeep Commander and Jeep Nitro are extremely gay to me.  They are like pretty versions of an off-road vehicle that doesn't go off-road.
