I have just received a PM with a reseed-request for this torrent:

I have NOT uploaded that torrent, and not even leeched it - plus, it still has a seeder.
Why did i receive that message? Is there something i can/must do?

a good thing for getting a good ratio is using a seedbox (if avail)
I would like to ask you to share your experiences about Seedboxes here…
which os and which software do you use.... linux/torrentflux ? (that's what i prefer)
is there any c++ client like utorrent for linux available ? (i found no solution with a webfrontend like torrentflux yet)

hinter den Kulissen ist dazu schon einiges im Gange und wird gerade an unseren Bedarf angepasst.
Ich habe das operative Keywort nochmal extra hervorgehoben. Aber ein komplettes Forum mit allen Anpassungen durch ein anderes zu ersetzen, und das in einem in sich geschlossenen System ist keine triviale Aufgabe zum Programmieren.

i have also XP installed on that machine... fucking nice and fast..
have already plans to switch my desktop pc also to mac hardware.... so i can run both os's on one machine

After careful consideration and observing the effects of the minimum ratio being set at .250, we have decided to implement minimum ratios based on the table below. Some of the factors we have taken into consideration are:
1. Torrents are not being properly seeded and are becoming dead in a significantly shorter period of time.
2. We are getting feed back from Uploaders informing us that they can not upload new torrents because too many members are leeching one of their torrents and are not seeding after they have completed the download. The Uploader is therefore seeding for a longer period of time.
3. The surprising number of members who support either keeping the old ratio of .350 or raising the ratio even higher. Looking at the Poll numbers on the Home page, 31% of members fall into that category. We expected results of 10% to 20%.
4. Reviewing all the comments in the different Forum issues, we could not find ONE good reason for keeping a low ratio, but many valid arguments for a higher ratio.

Please note: If you do not meet the minimum ratio requirements within the prescribed “Warning Period”, you will lose your download rights. This does NOT mean you are banned from the site. You can still seed and once you have seeded enough to get your ratio to the “Minimum Ratio” requirement your download rights will automatically be restored.

the forum is integerated plus it even looks like the website....
do u use any third party CMS or made your own...?
it is a complete integration into gaytorrent. it wasnt easy but finally we did it.
once we get our own smf skin, the complete site design will change..

ihr müsst den bei eurem client (azureus) eingestellten port in eurem router freigeben.
wenn also verbindungsanfragen von aussen bei eurem rooter auf diesem port ankommen, muss er ja wissen, auf welchen angeschlossenen PC weitergeleitet werden soll.
welchen client benutzt du denn?
