First off: thanks for all the love. A few original quotes from the past weeks: "this upgrade doesn't make any sense to me at all" · "the new UI is really confusing" · "I have mixed feelings on the new UI" · "thumbnails are HORRIBLE" · "garbage" · "hot mess". Don't worry — it all reached me.

Some of you are putting the result on trial pretty hard — because not everything is perfect on the first click, or because you have to adjust a setting first. I actually understand that.

But some perspective: this site had to be carried from 2006 all the way to 2026. In March we would have celebrated 20 years — this work is my gift to the community. I couldn't have built anything new on top of the 2006 "garbage pile", so everything had to be modernised first. What that means in practice:

• Frontend completely new — new design, runs on desktop, tablet and phone
• Backend completely rewritten — 20-year-old code replaced, over 2,000 commits since New Year alone
• User security noticeably higher — 2FA, passkeys, hardened logins and sessions; and "strong" privacy now actually means strong
• Tracker on a whole new level — scales in every direction, unlimited peers, realtime responses, IPv6. And I'm still hard at work on the last bugs there — see the "unregistered torrent" thread, I'll post an update there as soon as the fix lands
• An AI pipeline of my own — it has already tagged and classified 6 million images, and it runs entirely on my own hardware: nothing leaves the house. Smarter tags and search are just the beginning; a lot more is coming your way from this
• Over 340 API endpoints — the foundation for the new QTM and everything that comes after
• 27 languages — the whole site
• Completely new search with relevance ranking
• New upload form plus the Classic Uploader — I tried to make it as easy as possible, and ran quite a few extra laps for that
• Settings for practically everything — views, font sizes, density, homepage … take a look at your My page
• New helpdesk and the forum directly integrated — one login for everything

All of that, by the way: one pair of hands.

And all of it happened on one database, in a running system — no new accounts, nothing to re-register, ratio and history migrated seamlessly. The move itself was invisible to you — except for "everything sucks, the font is too small".

Now the important part: we have only just arrived at this point — and this is where it actually starts. The rebuild was never the prize, it was the entry ticket. I know exactly why the new site doesn't feel like a win at first glance: right now it mostly asks something of you — find a button again, change a setting, unlearn a 15-year-old habit. You have to think too much, and the new things that make all of it worth it are only now starting to land. Judging the whole project today means judging a race at the starting gun.

One more thing: not a single user request from the past 8 weeks has gone unheard. What more do you want? Complaining alone gets you nothing — save that for family, friends or the pub. Suggestions and constructive criticism, on the other hand, have never been handled faster than today. Promised.

And to the member who "spent the first two days hating it" and now "wouldn't go back if you paid me" — thanks for sticking it out. That's exactly the curve.

You have no idea what has happened here — and what's still coming. A fresh start is never easy. I just had to get that off my chest.

Hey guys — thanks for raising this, and sorry for the hassle it's caused.

First, the important bit: this is not a scam or phishing, and your accounts are safe. Those "confirm your email" messages were being sent out by our own forum by mistake — a glitch had it firing off confirmation emails over and over, even though none of you asked for anything. You didn't do anything wrong, and there was never anything you actually needed to click.

I've fixed it on our end, so they'll stop. If one or two still trickle in right after this, just ignore them — they were already on their way before the fix went in. Next time you open the forum your address gets squared away automatically, and that's the end of it.

And @ianfontinell nailed it: your email here is tied to your main account on the site — there's nothing to set or change on the forum side, so anything asking you to "verify" it here was never something you had to act on.

Thanks again for flagging it, and for being cautious with those links in the first place — that's exactly the right instinct. If anything else looks off, give me a shout.

Sorry folks, some of you run again into the let's-encrypt certificate issue we had some month ago. I was stupid enough to try it again with let's-encrypt for the new url..

everybody should be able to connect now ! maybe you need a restart if not

@Kevin4fm Done — torrents whose pictures are still in the moderation queue now show an "Images awaiting approval" tile in the grid instead of looking broken (and the Browse view no longer hides them completely, which it quietly did before). Genuinely picture-less torrents say "No images".

And to clear up the mystery: I checked the whole first page — every single one of those torrents has pictures. They're just sitting in the approval queue, mostly from newer uploaders. So no need for rude words, muttered or otherwise.

@briefsboy86 That's exactly your case — your pictures arrived fine and will show as soon as they're approved. Welcome aboard, and thanks for the upload.

@ianfontinell You were half right: the rule itself held on these, but one upload path really did accept submissions without a picture — that hole is closed now, on both the form and the server side.

i just installed a new SSL certificate not issued by Let's Encrypt for our tracker. It should now work everything as expected..

also the forum issue with the lost connection problem is solved and should not happen anymore

Quick update from the team — this is fixed now.

Uploading torrents and adding pictures were failing for a few hours because of a technical problem on our side (nothing to do with your torrents or your accounts). It is sorted and everything is back to normal — new uploads are flowing again.

Sorry for the disruption, and thanks for the reports, they helped us pin it down fast.

wow, you where pretty much excited about accessing the forum with your picture. Love it. And that upgrade here was just the beginning. Preparing a mature update for our 20th anniversary. Stay tuned guys

Did you guys noticed (i guess not) that we now have a really fast tracker backend? The clients get instant reply from tracker within about 30ms

I would appreciate your feedback on today's design update. Some of you have already reported about fonts that are too small. It is always very important to know where exactly on which page you see a problem. Then we save ourselves unnecessary questions back and forth. Of course I am also happy about every positive feedback, without any change wishes.  :cheers:

You tested the new site practically in real time — and instead of complaining in the forum, you wrote to me: what's broken, why it gets in the way, how it could be done better. Countless times, over months, often with screenshots and retests. That's exactly how feedback turned into improvements, often the very same day. And the fact that you're now writing a changelog for everyone says it all — I'm looking forward to it.

And to the many others who have written to me over the past weeks — reporting bugs, sending suggestions, patiently testing again: thank you. You have contributed more to this site than you probably realise.

I’d like to apologize once again. This forum login bug has actually existed for many years now, and it has more or less corrupted the entire database. I’ve made several attempts to delete these new accounts and merge the posts from those accounts back into the original accounts. Apparently, that still hasn’t worked everywhere.

I’m going to take another look at it later, but I’m afraid I may not be able to fix it perfectly. I hope you can live with it to some extent. At the very least, you should now be able to log back into your normal accounts again. I hope that at least worked.

This bug was so severe and so complicated, and over the past few years I simply didn’t have the time or the nerves to deal with it. Once again, I’m very, very sorry.

Thanks for the screenshots. That "slow down" page when you click a picture isn't meant to happen, our bot-protection is being too trigger-happy on the image viewer. I'm looking into it. A refresh usually clears it for now. I'll report back once it's sorted.

The six-digit code is the one-time code from the authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.) that you set up when you enabled two-factor login under Settings > Security. If you've lost access to that app, just message the Helpdesk and we'll turn two-factor off for you so you can sign in with your username and password again (and you can re-enable it later if you like). If you never turned on two-factor, you don't need a code at all. Sorry for the hassle!

1. yes - because the old domain will not be unavailable. and the api, qtm uses to talk to the site will not be redirected - everything else will
