It discouraging to try to keep a good ratio if the tracker only logs a small percentage of the data. The only way to keep a good ratio nowadays is to upload which promotes reposts and lazy collection torrents.

My own tracker (qBittorrent) reports how much data is uploaded - and I am on a VPN (NordVPN, to be exact)... and I've noted as well that my ratios are way off as reported on the site vs. my tracker.

Specifically - over time, my own client reports that I've uploaded about 2.5x the amount I've downloaded.... but I've been stuck - FOR YEARS - on this tracker at about a 0.83 ratio.

Mind you, after being here for years, I've downloaded 23TB of data, and uploaded only about 19.5TB... (I almost rounded that to 20TB, but then i thought about it: that's 500GB of data I'm rounding! That's a LOT of data!)

My point is this: At 20TB of data (plus or minus), I've been making this work - even over a VPN and even using Linux (vs. Windows) clients - for a long time... be patient, and work within the rules.

Many years ago, I actively recruited "models" for multiple porn production companies.

Back when I was younger, being in porn was seen as "disgusting" and a "small step above prostitution" (after all, you got paid to have sex with someone else that, except for the money, you wouldn't have had sex with otherwise).

In both cases, it's an email TO the concerned party - it could say ANYTHING! There's no collusion with Fauci & Wuhan, any more than there was with Trump and Russia! At the time of the email, Fauci had made those comments - and there is no evidence of any trail back to Wuhan BEFORE then... so he said something that they liked... and they thanked him for it... that doesn't mean there was a prior arrangement, just that they were thankful for his comments!

Did Fauci reverse course on masks over time? Sure! So did Leonardo DaVinci on the possibility of flight... so did Trump supporters on the value of the COVID-19 vaccines! (Pre-Election they were all for them! Trump was a SAVIOR for steamrolling the whole process through in RECORD time!... but POST-Election, it's suddenly a Democrat ploy to inject you with super-computer chips that will control your mind and allow the government to just turn you off, like a machine.)

COVID came at us fast and furious... we were learning a LOT about it in a very short time. Remember at the beginning when you were supposed to wear gloves and use hand sanitizer when you brought home your groceries? We thought it lived on surfaces (turns out, that was wrong)... At that time, we also didn't think it was spread by aerosol... (turns out, that was wrong too)... but that's the beauty of the Scientific Method - you test your theories, and the ones that hold up you cling to, and the ones that do not, you discard! (And if you happen to have one of those theories that has held up for decades - or even centuries - and you prove it is wrong, you discard it! Truth is truth!)

But in the early days of COVID-19, we didn't want to wait for test results, we wanted to know NOW what the experts THOUGHT! Tested or not! So, the politically stupid scientists gave us what we wanted!: The unproven theories of the moment. They foolishly believed that, like any good scientist, you'd understand that some of them would prove to be wrong.

Look, there were a LOT of mistakes made in early 2020 when this first started to hit... Trump made many of those mistakes - but he's not to blame (any more than Fauci is) - we used the info that we had! We did what we thought was best at the time, given VERY LITTLE actual scientific research/results. And, predictably so, a lot of it was wrong.... hindsight is 20/20!

BUT this (mid-2021) ain't that!

We know a LOT more now than we did then - including the fact that COVID-19 does not live for long on surfaces (in fact, once the water droplets they're in evaporate, the virus dies rather quickly!), and the fact that it spreads MOSTLY by aerosol, and that masks - even simple cloth ones - do an EXCELLENT job of "knocking down" the water droplets infected with the virus and thereby SIGNIFICANTLY reducing the area around us where exhaled breath droplets (potentially COVID-19 infected) can spread.

So a year ago, Fauci and his ilk got some COVID-19 facts wrong. So did a LOT of politicians (Trump, yes, but others too... virtually ALL of them to tell the truth!).

That people got things wrong isn't the question - it's what they did/do when they find out they're wrong that is what's important! Do they admit it and correct themselves? Or, do they cling to the information (that they now KNOW to be wrong) because they don't want to admit (or look like) they were wrong.

Scientists do the former. Politicians do the latter. (Apparently even politicians who are scientists, sadly).

Finally, as for the "random" filenames on OF content - blame OF for that, not gaytor.rent... that's the way they come from OF, and IMHO, I'd rather folks left the filenames alone so it's easier to find dupes!

I agree that a set of thumbnails might be nice - and, honestly, I seldom download OF content because most of it is shot on a phone and is less than a minute or 2 (or 5) in length... I wouldn't even keep videos of my own BF that were so short and worthless!

Trump's attorneys attempted to change the rules and results in hundreds of cases, and won only marginal victories (e.g.: already present monitors in some voting centers could stand a couple of feet closer than before the suit)... But in many (most... the vast majority) of these cases, the suit never even made it past the first evidentiary hearing! No judgement was made to the facts of the case, no jury was empaneled... because no facts were brought to the case! No evidence presented at the evidentiary hearing! Just baseless accusations!
• I don't fault Trump (or Democrats) for filing suits - I fault them for filing baseless suits based on nothing but hearsay and empty accusations. Those were a waste of time and taxpayer money! The suits brought that DID have evidence - on both sides - are all part of the process! The legitimate process of making sure the 2020 election was free & fair... which it was, in spite of the fact that Trump lost. (His loss is not evidence of fraud in and of itself!)
• BTW: I defended people on BOTH sides who brought lawsuits that had a basis in fact... they had a right to be heard, even if 90% of them (90% of the non-Trump) were ruled against! It was their right to try!

What you continue to miss is that election integrity isn't a zero-sum game! Every Republican vote cast wasn't "pure" and ever Democrat vote cast wasn't "fraudulent"... in the end, Republicans won most of the races they competed in... just not the Presidential one. And I'll repeat that I firmly believe it is because Trump made it about him personally instead of being about policy and results. Trump is not a likeable person to most people, as evidenced in the popularity contest that was substituted in for the Presidential election.

No mental gymnastics here - just a different "framework" about what is right vs. what is wrong - in my world people on both sides get to have their day in court IF they have evidence of wrong-doing. My "beef" is with the whiners and sore-losers who can't let it go even after the court rulings.
