          Once again I'd like to remind everyone that it's not mandatory that you speak.

            @billythick Honestly I think it's insane that posted a problem, got help, seemed to get things working and 3 days later want to burn your bridges.

            Whether you're new to torrenting or and old hand there are people on here who will try to help, as you've already seen, but you need to ask because in general most of us aren't prescient. Some torrents just don't work sometimes. Other times it might be a particular build of your client, and occasionally it might even be a site problem. The key thing is that you need to provide detailed information.

            For example, you say you got a message saying your downloads are restricted. What exactly did the message say? What is your ratio? How many files have you downloaded in the last 24 hours? Details like those are important if you want a meaningful response that's going to help.

            Anyway, if you want to delete then just follow @ianfontinell's link, but you don't gain anything by doing so, and letting your account here sit idle doesn't harm you in any way meaning you can return if and when you've calmed down. It's your choice, but please don't jump to blaming the site for a problem that may lie elsewhere. If you do decide to go please remember that this isn't the easiest site to get an invitation to if you change your mind.

                @frostycab Oooooh! I thought @femboyfurryowo 's comment was a typing error.

                Other opinions are also available. They're not right, obviously, but they are available.

                    Perhaps this is a stupid suggestion, but if new members were limited to only downloading freeleech files for a set period after joining it might avoid what I suspect is the root cause of this. The newbies here would then at least have built up a bit a of buffer before they went nuts.

                      @frostycab if anything that would only change how soon they will come complain in the forum

                        Just to be clear... There is the account self delete script, which was provided earlier in this thread, but there is one important thing to consider.

                        This script will only allow you to delete your account if you have a share ratio of at least 1.000. If you are below this threshold, the script will only refer you to the helpdesk for assistance.

                        Now.. Onto the OP's initial post... Is there something in particular that you're struggling with? I'd be happy to go over things and help get you settled in on the right track. Most of the time, issues that put users in your position are a rather easy thing to fix. If I know where you're struggling, I can definitely assist with getting things working better for you.

                        Lastly, the reason for needing to have a share ratio of at least 1.000 in order to self delete your account is because when you delete your account, the account is no longer used to match against other accounts for duplicate account detection, so allowing just anyone to delete their account would create a loophole users could exploit to cheat their ratio requirements.

                        If you're at least at your minimum ratio, then there are other ways that you can go about deleting your account with the assistance of the right staff, but again, this is to ensure that we do not allow a loophole that would enable users to be able to bypass the ratio requirements.
