The bill passed Tuesday comes nearly a month after British prime minister, David Cameron, threatened to withhold aid from nations violating gays rights, sparking outrage in Africa where leaders interpreted it as "colonial" display of power. If you remember the other article about this, it won't change how much money they will get, just which account the money comes from.

Considering that a lot of them still fly a confederate flag in their back yard in that neck of the woods, that's a shocker actually… I know this because I have seen this with my own eyes when I lived in that neck of the woods.

If the gay element were removed from the case, I'm sure the jurors wouldn't have any problems finding him guilty of 1st degree murder. EDIT:  I'd love to see the feds come in and charge him with bringing a gun on school grounds, giving him another 10 years and commiting a felony on school grounds (usually used for drug dealing, but hey) giving him another 25 years.

“religious liberty” What does a gay couple getting married have to do with their "religious liberty"?! Archbishop Dolan also came prepared to answer questions about the sexual-abuse scandal at Penn State University, which has reminded so many observers of the Catholic Church’s own abuse scandal. He said that the accusations against a former university football coach were a reminder that sexual abuse is a universal problem that affects most institutions. But name any other institution that "institutionally" refuses to turn the child molester in. Nevertheless, the bishops remain a forceful political lobby, powerful enough to nearly derail the president’s health care overhaul two years ago over their concerns about financing for abortion That' religion for you.  They'd rather no one have health care than for anyone to have an abortion.

This is about pedophilia not Homosexuality.  IMHO. This whole story reminds people of the old stigma of recruiting and will cause many wild reactions. Sandusky was and is a pedophile pure and simple as that.

Let's put it this way, ENDA (Employment Non Discrimination Act) has been up for a vote every year since 1970, under 4 different names, and still we can't get it passed.

Being Canadian, and thus a part of the Commonwealth of Nations, I was very happy to see this. I know that India, who is also a part of the organization, is taking the suggestion to heart.

You know, I don't think that the only reason gay people get married is to hold with tradition. I think that's maybe a reason for some, but more importantly I think there are a lot of gay people who are religious. A gay church in Dallas, Texas, Cathedral of Hope, paid for my college tuition, and I live in Alaska! They have enough partitioners donating money that they could afford to do that. The Metropolitan Community Church, which caters to the GLBT population, is really growing, and there are so many denominations of traditional Christianity that are now accepting us more and more, such as the Episcopalians, ELCA Lutherans, some Protestant churches, etc. I just think it's messed up that the UK won't give it's GLBT citizens equal marriage. WTF is with that? At least it's better than in the US.

Mr Cameron's threat applies only to one type of bilateral aid known as general budget support, and would not reduce the overall amount of aid to any one country. So it's a pointless exercise as they will still get the same amount of money.
