Let's put it this way, ENDA (Employment Non Discrimination Act) has been up for a vote every year since 1970, under 4 different names, and still we can't get it passed.

Being Canadian, and thus a part of the Commonwealth of Nations, I was very happy to see this. I know that India, who is also a part of the organization, is taking the suggestion to heart.

You know, I don't think that the only reason gay people get married is to hold with tradition. I think that's maybe a reason for some, but more importantly I think there are a lot of gay people who are religious. A gay church in Dallas, Texas, Cathedral of Hope, paid for my college tuition, and I live in Alaska! They have enough partitioners donating money that they could afford to do that. The Metropolitan Community Church, which caters to the GLBT population, is really growing, and there are so many denominations of traditional Christianity that are now accepting us more and more, such as the Episcopalians, ELCA Lutherans, some Protestant churches, etc. I just think it's messed up that the UK won't give it's GLBT citizens equal marriage. WTF is with that? At least it's better than in the US.

Mr Cameron's threat applies only to one type of bilateral aid known as general budget support, and would not reduce the overall amount of aid to any one country. So it's a pointless exercise as they will still get the same amount of money.
