minoxidil irritates hair follicles and increases microcirculation around them and promotes hair growth.but it is only effective till u use it.

i prefer a in between look . not completely shaved and not completely overgrown.

i can get over the smell but what about the hair growth. hair start coming out of skin after 2 days

Hmm … feels like I've just read a whole lot of nothing. Sounds like too much of a good thing is bad, and too much of the bad stuff is really detrimental. So basically, it's all about moderation and finding the balance diet, which is the same kinda thing that every dietitian/nutritionist/doctor has been saying.

My beard is already quite smoked and gets a bit nasty if I don't wash out the smoke daily.  Tobacco only of course!

@astongrey: i find that a completely smooth ass is akin to children and the female gender. women shave/wax their assholes too you know.

As mentioned in the previous replies, using Retinoic acid can cause some irritation at the beginning. keep using it after sometimes and it will fade. if it doesn't, may be apply less than the usual or stop and consult to a physician. also this drug makes the skin more sensitive to sunlight, so it is usually advised to apply it in the evening or after sunset. also, always use sunscreen when going out during the day.

MunchMonki, the itching does stop after a while, but then my mustache gets so long it starts to get into my mouth. So I am stuck with either an itchy mustache or hair in my mouth. So I usually shave that part and just have the bottom. But even then, the hair comes in patches, so all I really get in a little bit of hair on my chin.
