I actually have never grown a beard before…just peach fuzz.  Even my moustache doesn't grow as much hair, nor my chin.

I really envy people who can grow a beard- but at least I got hair on the top of my head that's really thick.

By the time I was able to grow a full beard, it was grey.  I was about 27, so that was a no go area for me.

It's all true, especially the handsome part.

I first let mine grow for convenience because I was so busy with work all I had time for was eat, sleep, work, repeat.
It just grows too fast and thick, and so does the hair on my head. People trip saying "I thought you just got a haircut and it's already back?".
Not that it's ALL there on my head…I'm receding a bit. 😕

raphjd: Did you go grey all over young? My BF's son did. He was salt and pepper in his 20's, now he's 38 and mostly all grey.
Grey or salt and pepper can be sexy.  🙂

I had a friend like that, he could only grow hair on his neck and under and on his chin. 😄

Dunno how old you are, but it might thicken up as you age.

I used to have very thick hair on my head. I'd trade ya some beard for some head hair if I could. ;D

My facial hair was 90% grey at 27 and that's when the hair on my head started turning grey.

I'm 45 now and I'm not completely grey, but about 70%.

My step dad's uncle was bald and grey at 17.  His senior year highschool picture looks basically the same as he does now.  Now he has wrinkles.

I've got more grey coming in now on my head to feel defeated, no more plucking for me -lol. My beard doesn't have as much grey in it tho.

WOW, what a double whammy for a 17yr old! I had a friend that went bald at 20. Went into Marine bootcamp receding a bit and came out bald.

As long as I have a fair amount of hair and can dye it a natural looking color if I feel like it, I'll be alright. I'd have to wear a hat all the time if I went too bald because I'm fair skinned, and I HATE wearing hats. Well, I'd rather be grey than bald personally -hehe.

                Not bad. 🙂

Mine would be crazy by 6mos. After a couple/few months I start getting comments and jokes that I look like the young version of Santa, or lumberjack jokes, and whatnot.
The Santa jokes don't bother me. Almost everyone likes Santa, right?  🙂 I get a lot of compliments, and some people telling me to trim it or shave (lol).
After a while tho, past a certain length, it gets annoying so trim it.

I was able to start growing a beard when I turned 14. It grew so quickly after the first six months that I had to give up on being clean shaven 24/7, and decided to just trim it down, instead of just cutting it all off. Every single day, people would say to me: "dude, you look so mature; you look like you're in your 20's." Yet at the same time they said I looked "older-younger", and now I think I understand what that means due to this thread.

Also, my boyfriend, who is ten years my senior, said the same thing when we first met. In the end, I am pretty happy.

Hair all over my body grows incredibly fast, including facial hair. Sad thing is I can't stand how it feels when my facial hair is so long. So itchy even when it's just about 1/4in thick.

Does the itch go away when it gets longer? I don't know because I always shave it off before it gets that long.

MunchMonki, the itching does stop after a while, but then my mustache gets so long it starts to get into my mouth. So I am stuck with either an itchy mustache or hair in my mouth. So I usually shave that part and just have the bottom. But even then, the hair comes in patches, so all I really get in a little bit of hair on my chin.

"The box said 'Requires Windows XP or better'. So I installed LINUX…"
