Torrents need to be at least 7 days old before they can be freeleeched. The point of freeleech is not to fix your ratio, it's too keep torrents alive. You can fix your ratio through freeleech but it's not easy or fast. If you need to boost your ratio quickly, upload your own torrents.

@AlexDemand It usually takes a few minutes for the tracker to update after you delete a torrent from your client.

I already noted that I changed the announce URL for all my GTRU torrents to the non-SSL http URL and they are now all working fine. I would just prefer to use the SSL version for security reasons and when I was last on the tracker having SSL switched on and using the https announce URL I had no issues. All the old torrents continued to work with the https announce and it was only newly downloaded torrents that required me to use the non-SSL URL. That's why it's so baffling to me, if the ports were blocked in some way it should surely affect all the torrents and not just newly downloaded ones. If the tracker is precisely the same and the behavior of old and new torrents are also the same in different clients then there might be an issue with your GT account. I'm sure the mod here would've told me if they saw an issue with the account. I didn't bother trying another client and since issue seems largely resolved no there's no real need. If you end up having to update your passkey, you can manually add them to your client's old torrents, some clients even allow batch adding trackers so you can change all trackers at once. I shouldn't need to do something as drastic and when I collated all the torrents into one tracker URL there's over 2000(!) so changing them all wouldn't have been fun, but still doable I suppose

@Harribal-0 I see your problem.... You're using the .rent domain over HTTP. To fix this, you need to either change it to https and remove the :2710 OR you need to change the domain to gaytorrent.tw This is why it is not working for you. You will still get a scrape error from the tracker as we do not support the scrape feature, but this should not affect your ability to download and seed torrents. It will only affect things when the torrent is not active in your torrent client.

@frostycab As far as I am aware, it is. The owner just recently did some fixes to it to make it work right again.

@cinemacapman Yes.. I sometimes report problems. This one with the download showing an active download that resulted in no data was very surprising to me. I was wondering if anybody else noticed this ever happening. There is a similar problem that I found a fix for. Sometimes a download will just stop, or get extremely slow. Look at the TRACKER list. If the tracker field has gone blank, REMOVE the torrent (not the data, just the torrent), and then RELOAD the torrent. Usually that will resume the torrent where it left off and the tracker field will be filled in again.

@goldorak-0 any torrent that you haven't fully downloaded (selected 100% of the files) will count as "downloading" as long as they are active in your torrent client. If you don't know which torrents you are seeding that were not fully downloaded, you might need to pause ALL your torrents in order to free up the download slots you need. Tip: Go through all of your torrents and pause everything that you have not downloaded fully. You can either pause them indefinitely, or you can mark them with tags to let you know which torrents you need to stop when you run out of slots.

You should find unlimited ISP/Provider in your area ... [Do/search a price inquiry for unlimited plan] ... There's no point of torrenting if your bandwidth is limited ... [It's just a waste] ...

@Ronn62353 Have you tried swearing at it? Seriously though, it's possible that the .torrent file got screwed up when you downloaded it. It's rare, but sometimes I'll download the .torrent file and get told the download was cancelled due to failing a virus check. If I try again it works fine. So I'd say, delete it from your client, maybe do a reboot and restart the client, then download the .torrent file again. Might not work, but worth a try.

I'm failling to see what you have to do with any of this, frankly... Someone's uploading something you're not interested in and there are people downloading it, so what? You want to forbbid people from uploading what you don't want or anything? Or you just feel entitled to complain just for the sake of complaining? Inconclusive.
