@randy0242 It has now changed to Seeding, but I do not see the torrent listed on GT listing. I am approved for automatic postings. How long does it take for the torrent to show up in GT?

That same issue happen to me also [cannot select category] Try to uninstall and re-install QTM [if same issue occur try the ff step below] So I decided to do a manual upload here >>> https://www.gaytor.rent/upload.php https://www.gaytor.rent/doupload.php make sure to check private when creating a new torrent and copy & paste the url: Tracker >>> http://tracker.gaytor.rent:2710/announce Seeding a Torrent: GETTING THE .TORRENT FILE: You have to re-download the small .torrent file, not the data file(s) (typically the movie file)! The re-downloaded .torrent file will have your personal secret passkey inserted, that allows to identify you to the tracker. Do not use the .torrent file you created in Step 2 - It won't work! https://www.gaytor.rent/uploadguide.php GOODLUCK !!!

@kirbstmp I should let the experts chime in but basically: 1- You download the 'broken' torrent (yes, I know, bear with me...) 2- Copy the actual file to where the torrent would have downloaded the file/s. 3- Depending on your client you need to 'recalculate/recheck' and since you have the file it should go to 100% and start seeding automatically.

@poernerlook A seedbox is a 'virtual computer' connected to the internet that you can connect to remotely and it only has 1 application running: as torrent client. You connect to it via an encrypted channel from your computer so it's private to you The seedbox itself is usually on a country different than yours and the same laws don't apply there. Seedboxes usually provide a VPN service as a plus (depends on the seedbox) As I'm writing this I realize that this might be more involved that you want. But it's a possibility. And you are already forwarding ports and stuff. This might be an interesting project for you!

@vmalar The thumbnail maker will do those collages. There was another application (whose name I've forgotten) would also so collages and had tremendous flexibility, allowing one to select specific frames in the video to appear in the collage, the size of the thumbnails, etc....but it doesn't work under Windows 7 or later. (I don't know about the Mac environment.) VLC Media Player also permits one to snap a specific frame out of a video at full size. If I'm posting a torrent, I like to use that to give an example of the quality of the video. Some older material isn't very crisp, and this way people can set their expectations accordingly.

Thanks @bi4smooth for the reply. Any help/hints are always appreciated! In this case I was the only one seeding, so it wasn't the case of me not being selected over other seeders. I'm certainly not a torrent tech expert either, but I know there are different methods of seeders/peers finding each other (DHT, PeX, etc.), so I suspect there's some method that isn't working, and the clients trying to connect to me aren't configured to use the methods that I have working. I ran your UNIX command in terminal and I see qbittorent listening on 8080 for the web interface, but there is no other listing for qbittorent. I expected to see the port that I added for incoming connections, but it's not there. So that may be a clue. One additional data point since I originally posted. I ran a Windows instance through Parallels and ran qBittorrent there. That instance was able to connect to the peers that the Mac instance couldn't. So more clues that it's an issue with Mac networking (or the Mac build of qBittorrent) and not my router. Thanks again for the reply. Enjoy the hunt for the smooth guys (leaves more hairy guys for me )

@rouu Sometimes it can help to stop the torrent, then start it again. You are showing as connectable. Make sure your ports are forwarded, or change the port you are using. @ricky said in Uploading many M/M romance novels?: a particular theme (for example, 5 eBooks involving St. Patrick's Day, perhaps named Lips Of Clover Collection). Ricky, you need to get the Lips of Clover collection trademarked as soon as possible, before Hallmark or Harlequin steals it from you. https://secureyourtrademark.com/can-you-trademark/book-title/ https://www.hallmarkchannel.com/hallmark-publishing/books [image: 1616266054812-amish.jpg]

@bi4smooth said in .........................Multiple resolutions of the same video should be in SEPARATE torrents: @lololulu19 said in .........................Multiple resolutions of the same video should be in SEPARATE torrents: Sometimes people post the exact same video in multiple resolutions in the SAME torrent. I don't think this is a good idea.. even though the downloader could pick WHICH format they want and not download the other. Skipped files in torrent clients make a mess. For instance someone might upload the video: Self-fucking Ass Masters and the torrent contains Self-Fucking Ass Masters 4K Self-Fucking Ass Masters HD Self-Fucking Ass Masters 1080p Self-Fucking Ass Masters 720p Self-Fucking Ass Masters 480p Self-Fucking Ass Masters 360p By the way... I personally don't think any video should be less than 480p no greater than 1080p There are other sites where people do this too - however, as you allude to, it the end leads to fewer people seeding, so the "term" for which the torrent remains "live" is much shorter. The reason for the shorter "lifetime" of the torrent is that most people only download the 1 copy (resolution) that they want, so there become very VERY few actual "seeders"... (that is, seeders of the whole torrent)... And, because the torrent remains "partially" downloaded in the tracker, it counts against your simultaneous download count! Thus, people seed for shorter times. NOTE: This is ALSO true of extremely large torrents in general... few people download ALL of a 100GB torrent, but many may download parts... in the end, that means there are fewer seeders, more leechers, and because it counts against your "simultaneous leech" total, shorter seed times... HOWEVER: While you may prefer to not see resolutions under 480p, some people who use hand-held devices (with very limited storage) may disagree. Likewise, while I agree with you that - for me - 4k resolution is TOO MUCH for porn, I also know that there are enthusiasts that would love to see 8k resolution, much less the 4! To each his own when it comes to resolution... Finally: I would be remiss if I didn't take a moment to APPLAUD the original posters - the members who PAY for this content, and then share it with us! I personally am grateful! Regardless of how you post it... THANK YOU! I forget the exact number, but as I recall, the human eye is not capable of seeing anything higher than about 4k resolution. Instead of resolution, people should be more concerned about the frame size and frame rate.

@smokpl This shows how many you can be downloading simultaneously: https://www.gaytor.rent/rules.php?lan=1#96 Ratio for sharing needs to be at least a full 1:00 (1 to 1) to be fair, but to share more than that will be great for your ratio and helps build up a buffer in case you need it for a torrent that you want. No limit on how many finished torrents you can keep seeding (after hopefully reaching the fair 1:1), other than your personal goals or equipment/bandwidth limits.

@UNLUCKYBOTTO Re: @ricky do you have any idea why it isn't listed as seeding? i downloaded a freeleech one for testing but that one is listed without problems, this is weird Which one isn't listed as seeding? If it's the RuPaul one, you should have both uploading activity (seeding) and downloading activity (leeching). Once you have it fully downloaded, then you'll be seeding only. Ricky

@haith said in Description requirement: @anythingold I realize this. My point is that someone goes through the trouble of d/l'ing then torrenting a possibly fantastic post. It's so easy for that uploader to just re-name those "aud4689sy" to something minimally useable like (trio, or duo, or solo) Thanks to you and all the volunteer staff It is really unfortunate... And they get away with it because we don't have a system to combat this. This behavior should be seen as cheating. I don't perceive this behavior any different from people who use mechanisms to try and trip their ratio numbers. I am just dumbfounded, that a process so easy and simple, people still see a need to cheat. God-damn this people! Fuck!!!
