I think this deserves a more in-depth description.... First off, you never ever upload a torrent's contents to this site.... when you download from here, you get only the .torrent file itself from the site - the file(s) in the torrent come from other users! So, what's actually in a torrent file? A bunch of "metatdata" - that is, data ABOUT the file(s) in the torrent: folder name(s) - if present file name(s) checksums for each "chunk" of the entire torrent the URL for tracker(s) and some other technical stuff you probably don't care about. Now, when you create a NEW torrent the URL for the tracker is a "generic one"... and since this is a private tracker, it is unusable in that state - but the REST of the metadata NEEDS to be uploaded to the site! The reason the torrent you upload is unusable is because this is a private tracker (repeated information!)... that means your announce URL has a special string in it: your KEY. This key is your key to this site - and any downloads that happen with that key are "charged" to your account, and any uploads that happen with that key are "credited" to your account! (That is why you shouldn't share your .torrent downloads!) Now, let's define a "dead" torrent: any torrent on the tracker who has no registered seeder and no registered leecher is, by definition, dead. Now, when you first upload a new torrent - remember, you're only uploading the "generic" .torrent file - the site has no leechers (how could there be?)... and no seeders!! That's because your torrent client is still using the "generic" URL (not the one with your key)... So, ALL freshly uploaded torrents START OUT DEAD! You (the uploader) have to re-download the .torrrent file (this time, with your key inserted!)... once you re-download the .torrent file and add it to your client! When that .torrent file registers with the tracker, the torrent will become "un-dead" and people will be able to download it (and leech it from you!) Just remember: when you re-download the new .torrent file, you're getting a unique .torrent file... and, when each leecher downloads the .torrent file, they also each get unique .torrent files! (Unique because each has their own key installed!)

And yet, you continue to "press your luck"... You gotta know that, should the site owner decide to take a look over here (vs. working on fixing some new, annoying, bugs), your butt would likely be as banned as Sebastian Bleisch videos! My fingers are crossed... though, I do have to admit: your complaints and nagging account for about 20% of the overall Forum traffic right now! I yearn for quieter times...

I already resolved it. I had to download my torrents back and find the folders where the original files were on my own. Excuse the paranoia.

Welp, I've started using the old domain. It's not as bad, but it's still an issue. Now im just going to upload one image until this stuff gets fix. I upload a lot and this is really frustrating. Hopefully gets fixed soon.

@john32123666 To be clear: I wasn't asking about the copyright issue. Only about the GT upload rules.

That's not the torrent status, that's a message the server sends back to the torrent client. In your case, that message wasn't updated for whatever reason. The status of your torrent is "working" which means the torrent IS registered and active. You might want to close your client and restart it, or just stop the torrent and start it again.

@lololulu19 said in Upload privileges revoked for 90 days?: @DandyLion If someone has a question about DMCA, they can always check the website which is a massive catalog of ALL copyrights so they don't upload anything that has a copyright. Nothing I have ever uploaded has a copyright. https://coccatalog.loc.gov/ Your assumption that a copyright has to be registered, in the same way a patent, or a trademark, is registered, is incorrect. A copyrightable work is protected by copyright laws the moment it is created and fixed in a material form. Registering your work is voluntary, but can be beneficial. Registration legally sets a "creation date" (in case someone claims parallel creation), as well as establishing your intent to defend your copyright protections. You have erroneously claimed (multiple times) here on these forums that porn cannot be copyrighted... I have referenced here before - on multiple occasions - that the site CorbinFisher.com went through a spell where they were suing illegal downloaders and getting large judgements against defendants! A company called Strike 3 was subsequently hired by a few porn companies to "aggressively assert their DMCA rights" and filed THOUSANDS of complaints. While most of those were thrown out by lower courts, in 2020 Appellate Courts reinstated them! Read here...

In addition: There might be other reason why the system is not accepting your upload regardless of size ... Name is not valid nor the file is damage and corrupted ... ex: [allowed and valid] file [image: 1649003769170-screenshot_3.jpg] However you can do the ff: Try to rename the file w/o any symbol [copy the original name first before doing this in case of error] or rename/delete [.iso] extension file that is accepted [zip file/rar file are no longer allowed] IMPORTANT !!! ... remember this is a critical task so make a copy/back up first in case there will be an error from renaming ... and make a note from the original file [name] to avoid any other confusion ... If the system rejected this process ... make a folder and insert the original .iso file/data [name] and try again ... Lastly try to extract the file [this works and common issues] and do not altered or renaming [VIDEO_TS] folder ... Then you can submit ... Is there something special to consider when uploading a DVD? see GUIDE: https://www.gaytor.rent/faq.php#489 Do not upload VIDEO packed in archives (zip, rar, ...), password protected files, or material that needs to acquire a license for playing see RULES: https://www.gaytor.rent/rules.php#102

@john32123666 Yes! Since errors are things we did not intend to do, we end up learning from them! Have a great Sunday. K.
