I went down the paid route and opted for TubeDigger - I don't regret that decision one bit. Outside of capturing cam streams, I've found it super handy for other use-cases as well. I pair it with IDM (internet download manager); what videos one of those is unable to capture, the other almost certainly is.

There are many of them available… You just need to do a little research with Google. Google is your friend.
