Hi family, What I had been experiencing when I made this post just over two months ago had been lasting for a couple of weeks.  This problem continued to last a couple of weeks. Whatever the problem with xtube, it seems to have been corrected some time ago. I really appreciate the sorta related post at http://community.gaytor.rent/index.php?topic=11496.0 providing more ideas about converting .flv to other more mainstream formats. @raphjd: Ask him to author a bill to remove the special protections that are already the law; ie religion, race, creed, color, gender, disability, etc, etc and see how he replies. What a grand idea. I just spoke to one of his secretaries and re-expressed my concerns that he support this bill, suggesting that his reasoning for non-support were ill-founded (using your example).  I wonder how the "canned" follow-up letter will read.

Because at its core this religion isn't based on hate? That even though the majority is against homosexuality it doens't mean they should ostracized themself. If people were thinking like you, we never would have had any rights anywhere… I don't want to be rude, just to make you realize that agreeing to change your beliefs because of your sexuality would have been exactly the same that leaving a country that doesn't allow gay people to even exist... Which only 30 - 40 years ago didn't exist at all. Besides the acceptance of gay's children the very fact that they are allowed to preach hate and teach it to children is wrong. If by keep on trying to get them to accept people only on their religious views and not their parents' sexual orientation may lead them to change that, I'm forced to say I totally want them to get their kids in those schools. Plus, it may be Catholicism but they are still following the bible which says that you may not judge your neighbors for it is god's right only. Therefore, excluding someone because they judge homosexuality is a sin is going against their own religion which is totally dumb.

If you live in a council house or flat, then YES, they have to approve ANY pet you may wish to have. However, if you live in Scotland and live in your own private house, flat or whatever, you do not need council permission to own/keep a "pet".  Prior to 2002, every property deed in Scotland was very strict and heavily controlled by the local council and local land laird {"lord" in the rest of the UK}.  In 2000, the Scottish Parliament passed a law that abandoned most of the Nazi'ish deed restrictions placed by the local councils on private property. If you live in a private flat, you will probably have deed restrictions placed there by the home owner association or the building management/owners.

My parents lived in Pennsylvania for about 20 years when my Dad got a job there.  I visited a few times and went to a few bars, in Philly, Doylestown and other places I went.  They all seemed to have pickled eggs.  The other thing that was interesting; my first visit was in the mid 80's - beer here in Michigan by the glass was always a buck or more.  I ordered one and I gave him a fiver and he gave me back four singles and change.  I thought he made a mistake but no, beer was 30 cents!  And this was not in a dive.  It wasn't the Ritz either, but you get the idea.
