    • Image Error When Attempting Torrent Upload

Are the right people aware that trying to include an image in a torrent upload is generating an error again? At the time of posting this, the last new torrent upload showing was three hours ago.

This appears to be the same issue as a couple of days ago.

    • RE: What is the best client to use in 2026?

@vaylon I'm sure you'll get advocates for all of the major clients, and likely a few few for the less well known ones, but for me, it's qBittorrent. I love the "tag" facility, which is clear, simple to use, and helps me keep things organised.

I used uTorrent for a long time, but wouldn't willingly go back.

    • RE: no preview pictures

Old site or new site? In lists or on a torrent's description page? If lists, which viewing mode or is it all of them? Pictures which were previously permanently displayed or only revealed on hover?

A more detailed description of precisely what the issue, ideally accompanied by a screenshot or two, will more likely result in being able to offer advice on how to overcome it.

    • RE: From 2006 to 2026 — a word about the new site

Personally, I have nothing but praise and thanks. 👏 😄 👍

I've dabbled a little in website design. That was hard enough when there was no baggage and no-one trying to use things before I'd finished designing and implementing them. What it was like to do so here on a live site with a long history would likely make me want to run away and hide!

Sure, there are one or two minor things that I personally don't like. But I bet there are other members who like it immensely while hating what I feel is brilliant. The words "eggs" and "omelettes" spring to mind, along with the phrase "Rome wasn't built in a day". I'm sure there are more minor tweaks to come.

Can I make a plea to those members who don't like things? Don't just say "I don't like it" or "It's rubbish." WHY don't you like it? WHAT is rubbish? It's fairly hard to address things if you don't know what those things are, so give specific reasons and examples.

In the meantime, @joker, my sincere thanks and admiration for what you've achieved!

    • RE: How to seed?

@DeepSeaTide Interestingly, Albo hasn't been online since a day after his post here, so I'll try to answer for him. If I've read that wrong and I'm stepping on toes, apologies in advance.

First thing: Yes, a VPN is kinda essential as it hides who you are so protects you against legal action by copyright holders.

[Side note: If you don't yet currently have a VPN but plan to, try to find a provider that offers "port forwarding". It's not an absolute requirement to torrent, and few VPNs offer it, but it's a good feature to have. I won't go into why here, so I don't overload you with information!]

How are you currently downloading your torrents? Whichever app you use is often referred to as your 'client'. qBittorrent is one popular client, but there are others such as uTorrent and Transmission. Which is best for you depends a lot on your device, your operating system, and things like that. Personally I do prefer qBittorrent over other apps.

Whichever client you are using to download ("leech") should just as readily upload ("seed"). Once you have fully downloaded a torrent you cease to be a "leecher" and become a "seeder", for as long as you keep the torrent running and you have all of those files available, with their names and file types, etc., unaltered.

At this point, you get to two different seeding states: Availability and actual seeding. You get a small amount of bonus points here just for having them available should anyone want them. You get direct credit for the volume you actually "seed" (upload).

So to maximise what you upload, others need to want download it. A good way to ensure this is to grab new torrents, or newly freeleeched torrents. The advantage of the latter is that whatever you download doesn't count against your ratio. Once you've got them you can seed for as long as you like, but if your storage space is limited it's best to delete them once no-one else is downloading them from you, and replace them with newer torrents there's a demand for.

I may be explaining things you already understand, so I'll stop there. If anything is still unclear, or there's something you think I've missed, feel free to ask.

    • RE: New Rating System and Asian BL's

@jokuihmemies I'm guessing he's referring to the fact that one particular member has a hangup about Asian BL shows, and consistently rated them one star whenever they appeared. Often, before they'd even been downloaded once. This led to at least one member I know of deciding not to bother uploading them any more, and may have affected others similarly. Although, it made me want to upload MORE, just to give him the finger.

There's a new "Report this" button specifically for ratings, so hopefully that antisocial behaviour will be a thing of the past.

@arrgh30 Unfortunately, most of the BL stuff I uploaded here came from "another-gay-torrent-site-that-probably-shouldn't-be-named-here" that was taken down recently, so my main source of new material has gone. Daily Motion is my only source now (oh, and maybe YouTube) and what's there doesn't tend to be that good quality, and most have only hard coded English subtitles.

    • RE: What is a "BL"?

It's a type of TV or film drama standing for "Boys' Love". It's a term most often associated with Asian output, especially Korean and Japanese.

It's a story where two male characters (usually the main characters) fall in love. There are a lot of standard tropes. which most follow. They're actually shows that have a high female teen following in those countries. They seem to have a fascination with the idea of two handsome guys falling in love! Many TV and movie stars in those countries get their 'big break' through starring in a main or major role in one of these types of drama.

There's rarely any actual guy-on-guy action, at least in those I've seen so far, though some people have told me otherwise, especially in some Thai stuff apparently. They're mainly about the lead-up to becoming a couple, with some holding hands and a kiss or two as the highlight.

If you want to see a sample, and also want a laugh, I recommend "I Became the Main Role of a BL Drama", which is in many ways a parody of such shows, incorporating nearly every trope that's out there. It's extremely funny. At least I found it so.

    • RE: I have 5TB of video

@kail1029 That sounds great. Some thoughts, meant | offered constructively!

      • Do check as much as you can for obvious duplicates before uploading a torrent. They'll just get zapped, usually pretty quickly, meaning your efforts in that case have been for nothing. When considering if something is the same format, note that .mkv and .mp4 are considered the same.

      • Could any of what you have be considered "niche"? As you'll have seen, there's an awful lot of general stuff here for people to choose from, but if you have something more unusual there are bound to be eager leechers. Maybe upload a single file, or a small collection, and add a note in the description or as a comment like "Do you like this?" to see if you've chosen a winner, then offer more if you've got them.

      • Don't upload too much at once. Strike a balance between being a valued contributor to the community and making sure your own ratio reaps the benefits. While you're already uploading at your maximum speed most of the time, don't add new stuff just because you've seeded for the required forty-eight (twenty-four?) hours. Wait till activity on what you've already uploaded dies down, then add a new torrent if you want. That way, you'll get the maximum benefit from each torrent you share.

    • RE: Ukraine to replace itself with Africans, Latin druggies, Asians

As an Englishman, living in England, and happily|proudly displaying far more than a hint of Englishness, I've never once been on the received end of hatred because of that, nor seen or heard of others encountering it.

Given the ridiculousness of that statement, one has to question whether the rest of this is equally well informed.

Do I need to pass an age verification check to view this?
Do I need to register with the site before I can access this particular file?
Is the site secure against my IP address, and personal details getting leaked?
Are there any other hurdles I need to spend time overcoming in order to try to offer the assistance you seek?

    • RE: Question about the "Search In" filter

@frostycab Click the little question mark to the right of the yellow pin for a handy little guide.

      a68dfec7-8979-4ea0-be73-0cad6111b5c8-image.jpeg

Those first three - name, description, filename are, I believe, "OR" operators, so if what you're looking for is in one or more of what you've selected, you'll get a hit.

If you search for "bunny rabbit" with only "Name" and "Filename", you won't find a torrent called "Fluffy Stuff" with the file "lettuce_eaters.mkv", even if it says in the description "Here's a cute little bunny rabbit eating his greens." Had you included "Description", that should pick that torrent up.

The rest on that same line are, I believe, "AND" operators... sio if you select "Freeleech", it will only show torrents that are currently freeleech, even if they otherwise match everything else.

Edit: Just seen @ianfontinell.s post. Yeah, I have mine disabled as defaults. I was obviously answering a slightly different question, or misunderstanding the underlying issue. I'll leave the above here though, in case someone stumbled on it looking for that answer.

@Maxgatos Could I suggest deleting the content (and title) of your post, if you're still within editing time?

Upload requests are absolutely forbidden, and may well result in a temporary ban. For persistent offenders, that ban may become permanent!

    • RE: Does anyone know anything about his videos?

@igor12 This sounds suspiciously like a request for an upload. Which has been banned for five years and can result in a temporary, or even permanent, ban.

Could I suggest you change the wording to make it clearer that you're obviously not requesting someone upload them, but merely asking if anyone knows of any existing torrents that might contain some of his material? There are many multi-performer torrents that may well do, and the contents are not always well documented by the uploader, so that would be a perfectly reasonable thing to ask.

    • RE: Ukraine to replace itself with Africans, Latin druggies, Asians

I'm neither closed minded, nor "flipping out". I just have a tendency to seek evidence of and justification for claims that seem, at best, suspect.

As I saw no references to England in the article linked to, I take it that this is your own commentary. It's the assertion that "England hates least hint of Englishness" I'm challenging, so why would there be any need to reference the original article?

The fact that you seem unable to back up your claim in any substantive way leads me to conclude it's made from - at best - a position of ignorance of the true facts, and to infer that your other assertions are therefore likely to be no more credible than that one.

My conclusion? Your last two points seem far more applicable to you than to me.

    • RE: ALL DOWNLOAD TRACKERS DOWN

DHT, PeX and LSD should always not be allowed (in my qBittorrent it says "Disabled for this torrent") because they're related to public trackers, so specifically disabled for the torrents here, which are private.

I spent about three days earlier in the week convinced this site had suffered the same takedown issue as other gay torrent sites, as not only did all my trackers error out, but also I couldn't access the site itself. When I mentioned it to someone, he advised he'd had no problems but maybe it was a UK thing. Sure enough, when I switched my VPN to another country, everything connected straight away. I've not yet tested if it really was/is a UK thing or just my own system having a bad day, but that's worth a try as it should be very easy.
