One scenario:

Client --> the program in my computer: utorrent.exe or whatever.
Site --> the tracker, the server, the website showing trackers records. Not in my computer.

In my client the torrent is ok. Appears completed, can be rechecked and appears ok. I can "force start" and everything is green. The scrapper information is:
http:// tracker. gaytorrent. tw:portunumber/whatever/announce
state: working
timer: (<30min)
seeds/clients/downloaded: number/0/0

Ok, I come to the site (the tracker) in my browser, go up in my arrows, check my userdetails, click on "Show seeding torrents". I wait until the page is loaded.
I look for that torrent: The torrent is not in the list.
I search for the torrent on the tracker, instead of looking dark green (completed) appears:
case a)
light green (downloaded .torrent file but not completed)
case b)
"grey" (like I've never downloaded the .torrent file at all)

@ianfontinell on the site i mean on this website. I click on my name, seeding/leeching and the torrrent is not there.

If I open this topic its because the procedure you mention is my usual procedure but I've noticed many old (several years) don't act that way, die in the tracker but appear active in my client.

Many torrents that appear green in my client, and the tracker as "working", appea dead on the site (0 seeds) or if someone reseeds it I'm not in the seed list: as I mentioned in my site user profile seed/leech list is not listed.

I have some very old torrents active (seeding) that are usually "reuploaded". My current torrent appears in green in the client, but in the tracker search appears as "downloaded".
If I download the new (reuploaded) torrent again and add it to my client the client says "The torrent is already in the list of torrents do you want to load the trackers?"

I accept. After a few hours the torrent remains in the "downloaded" state instead of "snatched".

If I check my seeding torrents in the site, is not in the seeding list.

I find this very disturbing. I mean why do people need see my profile to send me a PM? Why do I have to make public any other info than my nick?
A dummy profile page with the nickname only would do the trick to allow PMs. No more info is necessary.

Also forum profiles seem to be not only public, but indexed in google and show show join date and last connection.

The privacy leve description its unclear to me as well:
Which is the hierarchy?
Most private: Strong, then Normal, then Low? Because "everything" seems to be more or equal than anything else.

Normal privacy is less private than low?
"Everything will be showed" what everything means?
Low
People wont see my profile but will see my peers and uploads?
Strong
seems pretty clear.

Shouldn't the Normal (default) be:
"Only profile name (and location?) will be shown"

You mean the "Privacy Level" of the profile affects the ability to send/receive PMs?

I've tried the three of them but no "send new PM" or similar button appears in the messaging page.

I have PMs from other users (back to 2016) so I was able to send/receive PMs that for sure, also the account is older than 6 months.

A user told me I can't receive PMs.
My block list is empty.

f.e. here I am sharing "REDCLARK" torrent (29.1GB), and does not seem to be neither active nor dead. I can't find it in the tracker. Used to be rather popular.
I could reupload the torrent (wasn't mine) and share the content again or just delete it and make the content unavailable.
I'm not planning to delete the files (at least most of them) If i delete the torrent. I find a shame to just make the content unavailable, there are other torrents of this guy, but not as complete as this one.

How do I know if it was taken down? If It was, how come there are older torrents with part of its content?
The expected "user behavour" is delete the torrent and forget about it?

I get your point. I don't do it for the ratio but for keeping as many torrents as long as possible. I just would like to clean up some stuff in case its not possible to reupload again.

Is there a way for the tracker to better report why a torrent is dead on the torrent client side?

I've got "some" unregistered torrents. (As reported by the tracker)
That means:

1. taken down?
2. tracked decided to mark them as "dead"?
3. ¿?¿?

Why I don't delete them? Because sometimes torrents "revive".

Could you improve that messaging system please?

In the past 10 years camera sensors have skyrocketed in terms of noise. I would say mainly thanks to Sony (lead technology). But because of mobile demand (lead consumer/"user").
When I mean noise I mean higher sensitivity, bla bla.
Thus, even theater movies from the late '10 look noisy compared to nowadays crisp and noise-free tv-shows recorded in the past 18-24 months.

Past production chain:
"Low quality" native resolution source sensor --> "low quality" lossy codec for production (4:2:0) --> poor reencoding low bitrate (MPEG2, QT, whatever). --> CRT displays /Early LCD (usually low res, low dpi)

Current production chain:
"High quality" high resolution source sensor --> "high quality" lossy or almost lossless codec in production (4:4:4 or 4:2:2) --> Video Downsizing (even more noise reduction) --> high quality reencoding with higher bitrate (H264, H265, VP9, AV1) --> IPS/OLED displays (higher res, higuer dpi)

So:

1. Porn was usually recorded in poor light conditions and/or not top of the notch cameras.
2. Access to professional grade or even cinematographic grade cameras and production process has reduced 100 times (maybe more) in the past 20 years.
3. The average consumer display has 6-20 times the pixels, 4-10 times the contrast, and 3-5 times the colour gamut compared to the DVD era.

There you have it.

It was a firewall rule.

My torrents are turning red with a warning that There was an error with the torrent, my permissions don't allow to reach a certain socket. (utorrent 3).

Im not talking about 10 or 20, but hundreds.

What informatino do you need to help me debug this problem?

Yes, I would like the request section to come back as well. And maybe limit it to some users as before.
I feel there's a lot of stuff this site is missing because of the visibility of some torrents, and I doubt there is another place with such a traffic and difussion.

Why won't find a way to merge both? We're missing an opportunity here.

I understand the reasons why several versions of the same video are allowed in the tracker. Some people don't have the bandwidth to download certain versions.

But the pumping muscle versioning affair is getting to far. There are four or five sets of collections and four or five versions of the same video.

My suggestion to avoid this and refrain this collection and versioning is a modification in the rule that says that active torrents with the same content already in the tracker must be in the first line of the description.
I.e. people has to look if another "pumpingmuscle" "jacob 1" is already present and if there is cite it the description.

It actually was in http instead of https. In https it says:

Could not establish secure connection. Error -2146893048

I've tried in another client viersion with another port and i get the same 404 error. But curiously I can download several other torrents at the same time while I write this.

I'm unable to download the torrent called "JOHN B PHOTO SHOOT 2012-2"

The torrent is active and it has 8/9 seeds but I get the "HTTP Error 404" in the torrent client.

It doesn't happen with other torrents, and I've redownloaded the torrent file several times (last time today) but download never starts.
My ratio is ok, and my limits are ok.
