TorBox - or other multi-hosters (or other sort of VPN alternative?)
-
I've been having trouble with my VPN raising prices and started looking at alternatives.
It seems like multi-hosters (https://github.com/debridmediamanager/awesome-debrid) are all the rage now, the problem being that most of them don't seem to play well with uploading/private-trackers
I've seen that at least one, TorBox, does seem to try to upload and support private trackers -- https://support.torbox.app/en/articles/10031226-what-private-trackers-are-allowed
The one issue I could see causing an issue is that you'd have to use the unique IP add-on they mention (but doesn't show up on their subscription page).
Are there ones that are recommended/supported here? Or are there better VPN's (most don't seem to support port-forwarding)
I'd like to keep using this site, are there other alternatives that people are using (e.g. VPS/seedbox?)

@kberg333 I don't know about seedboxes, but I use PrivateVPN.com as my VPN provider. All VPN server locations support port forwarding for at least ONE port, and some even offer port forwarding on ALL ports. They are also widely supported on most devices, and from my experience over the years, their customer service has always been top notch.

I use Proton VPN, they are always making sales and special offers throughout the year.

@ianfontinell Does Proton support port forwarding? I only ask as I'm trying to gather a list of VPN providers that support port forwarding.
-
@MrMazda it offers 1 random port each time you connect, has dedicated P2P servers in 141 countries.
-
@ianfontinell Perfect. ONE port is all you really need, unless you are using more than one torrent client on the same device.
-
I used to use vpn but was worried I would get banned if another member is on the same vpn
Would compiling a list not make the chance of someone using the same service higher?
-
on a side note if you go the vpn route and use docker check out gluetun
it has built in functionality for various providers to grab the public ip/port and update your client etc
